Weather here this morning that I wore my rain hat to take the girls to school. It is gorgeous, but too tight (the larger one was too loose, probably would have been fine once washed)

Ok, £60 for DD1's year 6 residential, £60 left to pay. £17 for a school trip and £70.25 school lunches.

£5 to top up DS's Oyster to get to swimming

Laska5772 · 06/06/2017 09:20

What kind of rain hat Audit? Is it one of those waxed or tilley type ? I take small size surpringly 55cm and was thinking of getting one.. maybe we could come to a deal and you could get he bigger one?

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/06/2017 09:49

I'm scooting about sorting medical things. Making progress though, I hope.

It's still raining hard here. I quite like it though. We get so little rain normally. My sunflower has blown over and I'm torn between going out to stake it and staying in the dry myself.

Coppersulphate · 06/06/2017 09:54

Lonely, what's pink pig yarn?

Loveabaconsandwich · 06/06/2017 10:38

£27 on birthday presents for DP
£37 on food in Tesco
£45 petrol
And it's only 10.30! Blush

Not feeling great today. Had a migraine last night and still not feeling right. But DD1 needed to be taken to school, food shopping needed to be done and DD2 needs looking after so no chance of going back to bed

Sun has finally come out here. Windy school run this morning though

SnugglySnerd · 06/06/2017 10:55

Lonely have pm'd you.

Em I talk about sleep a lot. It would just be nice to actually get some sleep! Wink

Horrible wet day again here. Trying to psyche myself up to take all the dcs out somewhere. Pets at Home to see the rabbits maybe.

Taytocrisps · 06/06/2017 11:11

I was busy with visitors all weekend so just catching up with you all. It was an expensive weekend (more expensive than we'd anticipated) so we'll have to tighten our belts a bit more. I'm enjoying a quiet day today after a hectic weekend.

The weather has been awful here and we've had to put our heating on for the last two days as the house was freezing. We thought we were finished with it until the autumn Sad.

Copper relieved to hear that DGS got through his operation. Hope he makes a good recovery. It must be such a comfort to your family that you're in a position to care for your DGD and provide emotional support at such a difficult time. Flowers

Seacow glad all is ok with Baby. Better to get these things checked out. Getting close now.....

Girlie close call for your brother. And too close for comfort Audit Sad. I don't know what to say. The terrorist attacks are truly awful. And I'm not even sure that they're all carefully orchestrated, planned attacks. Seems like any disaffected, unhappy young Muslim man can just take it out on society with a knife or a car or a bomb and ISIS will happily take the credit. I'm also concerned that if the UK police answer the calls to 'get tough on terrorists' and start to arrest Muslims in large numbers, it could further exacerbate the problem, as when internment was introduced in Northern Ireland. I don't know what the solution is other than to maybe investigate the reasons why these men feel so alienated and disaffected and invest heavily in integration measures. One of the men involved in the London attack lived in Ireland for a while www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/why-isis-terrorist-s-irish-links-are-cause-of-such-concern-1.3108760

Lonely sounds like you had a fun day on Sunday. I don't know how you found the energy to bake cakes at the end of a long day!

Wreck do you have diabetes?

em that estate agent sounds infuriating.

Cag did you make it home?

teabagsmummy · 06/06/2017 11:47

just had to spend £40 on my ds swimming lessons so that was most of my eaby money gone.i have to go out this afternoon as baby ds has his injections, not looking forward to it a he gets 3 but is good as gold usually, also not looking forward to going out in the awful rain

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 11:48

Yes thank you tayto was a hellish journey as felt sick and tired so really glad DH joined us! I napped a ridiculous amount afterwards. I hate needing help to do basic stuff like that - normally the journey is no bother at all.

Taytocrisps · 06/06/2017 11:55

Glad you're home now Cag. Rest as much as you can.

LonelyOversharer · 06/06/2017 12:33

Pink pigs copper These are the smallest I make and have just bought a new set of 1.25mm needles, only to find I've run out of yarn. I hand dye it so they are always different, especially the spotty ones!

Fecking freezing here. We have agreed to the log burner tonight!

Laska5772 · 06/06/2017 12:47

lonely do ypu have an etsy page ? want want want a pink piggy family

ChristmasSeacow · 06/06/2017 12:48

Love those pigs!

Yy to freezing Angry. Am about to put the oven on so that will help.

On the upside, I have just had a Tunnock's tea cake for the first time in years. They are much squidgier than I remember, yum. I have a lot of work to do today and that means I will graze far too much. Good job this stops soon!

Btw, I meant to post this article yesterday, I thought a few of you might be interested (Sunny?) after recent discussions:

Coppersulphate · 06/06/2017 12:51

blimey Lonely , they are amazing. I have decided that you are the most talented person I "know".
Just been out as the rain stopped. Bought pressie for DGS for being brave. Going in to see him later.

Loveabaconsandwich · 06/06/2017 13:10

Love the pigs lonely

Feeling very annoyed with myself for ringing an 0844 number on my mobile. Phone call cost almost £7! Angry

Will be booking DD1s birthday party later. Will be £51 deposit. Ouch.

DD2 is falling asleep so I will nap too!

teabagsmummy · 06/06/2017 15:12

These pigs are so cute Do you sell them?

SnugglySnerd · 06/06/2017 15:54

Cute piggies! You are so talented, I can just about sew on a button.

Just spent 54p on tea and cakes. It was obviously more than that but my mum gave me a tenner which covered the rest.

ememem84 · 06/06/2017 16:00

£579 on a pram bundle. Sigh. mamas and apparently armadillo flip. 5 piece bundle. We did the research and worked out to buy everything separately it'd actually cost us more.

Still need a car seat though but friends have a base we can have and we can buy a different brand car seat (have the name and it's compatible). Sadly we're limited to brands here that we can try out before we buy them.

On the plus side I now have a loyalty card to the store with £50 worth of points on it... score!

ememem84 · 06/06/2017 16:01

Dparents have very generously said they'll give us the money for their first grandsons first wheels. So that's super helpful.

LonelyOversharer · 06/06/2017 16:25

That's good news em first pram bundles are always £££.

Spent £11.55 in the coop mostly on gammon steaks and pineapple rings, we're going retro tonight.

I do have a little etsy shop, if you search for 'tiny knitted pigs' my things should come up high in the search. I mostly sell stuff to America, and lots at Christmas.

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/06/2017 16:33

Thanks for that Christmas.

I've had a nice afternoon organising a Beaver's night in advance so all the fun is ready for the leader to just do on the night. I enjoyed that.

WreckTangled · 06/06/2017 17:18

FFS just spent six minutes going through security questions on tax credits only for them to say they're too busy to take my call right now. Dicks. I would do it online but they won't let me tell them my estimated income for the next year online. Argh.

Yes tayto

LonelyOversharer · 06/06/2017 18:00

Annoying wreck but thankyou thankyou for reminding me to do the form! Now, where the hell is it?

Taytocrisps · 06/06/2017 18:18

Spends today

Shower gel €2

Top up shop (didn't get to supermarket over weekend) €10.19

Taytocrisps · 06/06/2017 18:21

Oh and €10 for DD's dance class. They normally charge per term but there's only 3 - 4 weeks left so they're charging per week.

Sorry to hear that Wreck. Does it affect you much on a day to day basis?
