Really glad copper xx

We get a lot of value range stuff, it's always worth trying. We have a range - some value, some Tesco own brand, a few big brands. Just experiment with everything :)

I have napped even more this afternoon! Hopefully getting back to tutoring properly this week, have cancelled so many lessons due to virus etc and with Easter hols etc my earnings are waaaaay down.

thewaitresses · 05/06/2017 20:26

Such a relief copper - hope dgs well on the mend now.

Yep sideways rain here too! Ended up in ikea for a cheap lunch and use of smaland! £4.95 on lunch. Bought two boxes we needed for the loft for £10 and then scanned my receipt through the reward thingy and won a £10 food voucher!

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2017 20:36

£58 sainsbury

That's good news copper. Raining loads here too. I've just stuck my hearing on for 10 minutes

teabagsmummy · 05/06/2017 20:38

Glad everything went well *cooper
I managed to make £86 on eBay I still have a few things listed including my old iPad which I never used. Although a lot of that money includes the postage. The post office will love me tomorrow with my huge bag of parcels Blush.
I sold a lot of the clothes I love for not much money really it every little helps

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 20:52

Ah well done teabags.

It's raining loads here too!

£1 in the vending machine on chocolate m&ms

SnugglySnerd · 05/06/2017 21:36

So pleased the op went well, Copper.

Apologies for any strange spellings oreally random words in my posts. I have a new phone and the keyboard is a bit sensitive. The predictive text is a bit over enthusiastic too with the result of sending some completely nonsensical texts and emails. it's obviously designed for youths who text much faster than me

Cagliostro · 05/06/2017 21:39

No tins of tuna (of any brand) available on Tesco website. Have I missed something?!

AuditAngel · 05/06/2017 21:39

Saturday £6 parking and £8.30 on ice creams after Horrible Histories at Hampton Court.

Sunday £10 karate squad training. Tesco £73, included swimming trunks for DS and a kaftan for me.

Today £3 meal deal

Tomorrow will need to give DS money to top up Oyster card for him to get train from school to swimming.

DH is having knee surgery tomorrow. Will be sharing school pick ups with mum fior next 3 weeks

AuditAngel · 05/06/2017 21:43

Our London office got to test some of its disaster recovery plan today. Our office is right on London Bridge where the van crashed (the pub it crashed by is part of our building) so no office access today.

This feels very close to home.

I was supposed to be in Holborn on Wednesday, but had cancelled last week when finalised date for DH surgery.

Coppersulphate · 05/06/2017 22:05

Hope knee surgery goes well for DH Audit. DP has total knee replacement last August. It was painful.
And I agree the terrorism threat seems closer here in London. (Staying here at the mo)
Had massive headache all day. Gone now. DGS had most of his tubes out. Hope to move him to ordinary ward tomorrow.

Laska5772 · 05/06/2017 22:17

Great news Copper. such a strain on the family though. I hope he has a good recovery .

Its Raining sideways, blowing an absolute hooley and is cold here also. (& guess who went to work in flippy summer skirt, t shirt and ballet flats) . But I really should have thought this through.. its the Isle of Wight festival this week and people already arriving.. so it was bound to happen!! Grin

Wow .. have had really spendy 2 days .have spent £79.80 on two meals out . treating friend to dinner yesterday last night ( her birthday recently ) and also concert ticket . then again today Treating DS to a Chinese for his birthday .. This is also not good for my waistline (or holiday bikini prospects ) .. I may have to save ££s by not eating at all for rest of week or ideally until we go.

also £13 in boots on essentials £45.6 in M&S on 2 bras and a few salady/deli bits , £16.99 in TKMaxx - I was taking stuff back!!- (on a really great scarf - I do have to curb my scarf habit.)

so last nights concert , I really should have remember that Dfriend has very differnt music taste to me . It turned out to be Jazz trio .(with major award winning singer im told) and was the finale of a jazz festival so the place was stuffed with afficionardos(sp?), sadly just not my thing, All the 'scatting' ( as i found out it was called - (doodley doodely doo noodling noodle singing) didnt do anything for me. She did do a couple of songs i liked though (some Tom Waits even) and i had to admit she certainly had an amazing range and was a good pianio player .. But the drummer and guitarist in the band were an utter total hoot though (they were not meant to be, but were just like the Paul Whitehouse 'cool Jazz club' sketch if anyone remembers ).. However Band got an estatic standing ovation and loads of encores so it was just unappreciative me it seems...

Cagliostro · 05/06/2017 22:18

Jazz Club. Nice.

(Yes, I remember the sketch!)

Laska5772 · 05/06/2017 22:21

Oh yes I braved storm earlier to go out an shut the green house , the bedding and towels I had left drying in conservatory from yesterday felt a bit damp again as I had left all the windows open in there as well.

We have 8 water butts and 2 huge rain water tanks (but we do have a big garden ) . They are probably all full now..

Laska5772 · 05/06/2017 22:26

Great....

May we continue our furious frugaleering into June : )
Laska5772 · 05/06/2017 22:28

.. Oh yes... so It turned out DFriend did want dinner after all ! Smile.. but shes a good friend..

ememem84 · 06/06/2017 07:13

laksa oh dear! But it was an experience..?

Last year when I was in London for work the boss took dragged me to Ronnie Scott's. Not really my thing but I had a good time. Nice to see something different.

The rain and wind woke me up at 430. Then I had to pee. Then catface heard me wondering about so she needed attention. She settled on the bed my pillow for a while. No sense of personal space that one.

Baby class tonight. I think we're talking about sleep. And baby being at home.

Gnocchi for tea

teabagsmummy · 06/06/2017 07:18

Morning everyone, my ds has grown out his Moses basket at 4 months I was going to sell it as definitely no mote babies for me! Where do you think would be best and how much was be resonance? It's in very good condition want to avoid eBay as to avoid postage costs

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2017 07:29

Facebook, just got to ignore the chancers who want it for 2p.

ChristmasSeacow · 06/06/2017 07:35

Teabag they go on our local Facebook group but not for a lot as there are quite a lot of them. Anyone trying to get more than £20 usually don't sell... but worth a try, you never know. You can always reduce the price later.

Busy week here so not quite keeping up. Great news about DGS Copper and I hope he has had a good night.

Last 2 days of work I think! Fingers crossed anyway.

Iris65 · 06/06/2017 07:38

Laska glad you had a good time!
Absolutely pouring rain here too. It started on Sunday and apart from a couple of hours yesterday afternoon has been constant and heavy.

WreckTangled · 06/06/2017 07:53

Still chucking it down here

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 08:12

Hideous weather here too! DH had to cancel his outdoor class today. Shame about the money! Will try and get housework done instead

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/06/2017 08:43

Bucketing rain here too. Smile

Sounds like good progress copper. You're doing a great job there.

Coppersulphate · 06/06/2017 08:55

Thanks everyone. Bucketing down here in London too. Horrible wind and rain combined. Had to get DGD to school today for 8am for some sport thing. Surely not in this weather. I bloody hope not she'll be soaked.
Only going to buy bread today. I hope

LonelyOversharer · 06/06/2017 09:09

Hideous here too. The wind has dropped for now, but I think it has rained all night.

Really didn't want to get up this morning! Will settle down to a day of work ie: at shop no one will come in today painting, and when I get bored of that will find my undyed yarns, and sort some bits to dye as I'm out of pink pig yarn. As you can tell, super exciting here! Just need some british gammon steaks for tea, will go to the coop later.

I did sort out two bags for charity last night. If anyone has a wee boy, I have a little bundle of "too nice to charity shop" bits in a 2-3 and 3-4, not too flash, mostly debenhams, rocha and blue zoo, gap, nutmeg, shorts, jeans, tops. Just let me know, I'm happy to post for nothing.
