Thanks adora.

Just had an almighty hypo. 1.7! Was ok though and Dh looked after me. Wiped me down with kitchen roll as I was covered in swear!

WreckTangled · 04/06/2017 21:25

Sweat*Hmm

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 21:35

Yikes Wreck. Glad he looked after you. Are you okay? I have no idea what a hypo is like.

Is anybody else watching the Manchester concert? I've never watched a pop concert before but I'm enjoying this one, mainly because I get why they're doing it.

ememem84 · 04/06/2017 21:46

sunny we were watching but dh turned it off. His view is that while sad, couldn't some Manchester based bands have played instead of getting stars from the us over??

Anyhoo.

All ready for work tomorrow here. Three loads of washing done, lunches made, bag sorted, outfit chosen.

Am now in bed with catface.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/06/2017 21:56

Liam from Oasis playing now Em thought he might have patched it up with his brother for the show tbh, bit disappointed in Noel.

Blimey Wreck how does that work with the pump, has it over dosed you? Do you keep gluco tabs in just in case? Hope you're stuffing your face now Grin

Glad baby girl is o.kay Seacow sounds like she is resting up before making her appearance Wink

AdoraBell · 04/06/2017 21:58

em Liam Gallagher is on now, with Cold Play playing guitar for him.

Glad you are okay DH was on hand Wreck

Coppersulphate · 04/06/2017 22:10

DGS was bumped again. Can't complain though. Very sick child in intensive care is deteriorating quickly. They need to go in DGS' place. Can't complain. Poor child. And poor parents.
Thanks for all good wishes.
Blimey Wreck, that's scary. Did pump fail?

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 22:11

Gosh, 'n' there was me just thinking it was nice music.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 22:35

Does that mean that the surgery's off for tomorrow Copper, even though he's already in and having the premed? Will he have to come home again and rejoin the queue?

Cagliostro · 04/06/2017 22:45

How frustrating copper but I really hope the other little one is ok. So scary :(

I watched a little of the concert because my dad was, but I felt a bit weird watching it. Not sure why.

Still waiting for DD to go to sleep Hmm and could hear the rest of the concert anyway because the person in the flat downstairs had it on extremely loud.

Hoping DH will be here in an hour or so.

LonelyOversharer · 04/06/2017 23:14

Watched quite a bit of the concert, but I'm still at a loss as to who this Ariana Grande girl is, and how the hell she was walking in those boots! Take that and Robbie were ace though. Either I'm getting very old, or they're getting better with age. Hated them first time round. Still hate Liam, he makes my skin crawl. I'm always cross if I catch myself singing along to an oasis song, quite irrational.

Um wreck that's not supposed to happen with a pump I thought?? I'm so nosy, do you know a hypo is coming, or is it just bang, down? Take it easy for a bit, eh like no shred at 6am tomorrow

copper sounds awful all round, for dgs and your lot, and that poor poorly child as well. It will be such a relief once he's had his op, and is recovering. Flowers

cag so glad your dh is on his way to help you get the dc home tomorrow. Don't forget to take care of you and caglet x

Forgot to say meadow glad you're back, well done on a tough journey and grim situation, just do whatever makes you happy for a bit.

ChristmasSeacow · 05/06/2017 00:11

Sounds a bit alarming Wreck and lucky DH knows how to make himself useful!

Sorry to hear about the delay Copper it's dreadful when you've been psyching yourself up but I guess clinical emergencies do come up. Poor you and the other child's family too.

Lonely that sounds like a lovely day and very busy - then home to make cake! I take my hat off to you. I'd have been a mush on the sofa.

DS was actually late by 6 days and I don't think DD's head has dropped yet though she is obligingly the right way up. That said, the midwife today said the ctg showed mild contractions - I wasn't feeling them but have felt a bit this evening. I've had the odd spurt of practice ones so not getting too excited, and anyway I don't think anything will happen until after the head drops. I am enjoying winding DH up though- he is looking nervous!

Filled in the form for maternity allowance tonight, just need to get to the PO to send it recorded. Now I need to work out what to do about other benefits - I never claimed child benefit because I was a high earner but it might be worth it now (I think we'd get taxed a bit because of DH's salary, but it counts towards my NI contributions so probably worth doing while I am not working). I have also not claimed Carers' allowance, which I could do because DS gets DLA, but I don't think I'd get it while on mat pay though I can't find anywhere that says either way. I've never claimed for anything before as my employer sorted mat pay last time - it's a bit of a mission!

Must get to sleep, I am knackered although pleased to say baby is wriggling much more again tonight, phew!

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 02:08

Copper that's frustrating but obviously awful for the other family Sad

Pump didn't fail. I expect it was a mixture of the glass of wine I had at lunch (alcohol lowers glucose levels) and giving a bit too much insulin for the cookie I had (home baked goods don't come with a food label to tell you how many carbs are in it Wink).

I knew it was low, I had already treated it but then it went lower quite quickly. I could have sorted it myself but Dh was there so I just lied on the floor and let him sort it Grin I get a bit like a grumpy toddler when it's low, he was asking me if my sugar level was low and I was looking at him but I couldn't be bothered to speak. Luckily he knows me well enough now! I felt find very quickly though. Jelly babies are the best hypo treatment for someone still able to eat btw.

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 07:04

I love oasis... but yes you'd have thought both Noel and Liam could have done something. They bang on about Manchester a lot. Even if they'd done it separately.

Noel was here a couple of summers ago playing at our festival. It was awesome. Dh and I paid £80 for a day ticket just to see him (had to wait through some truely dire "bands") but worth it.

I'm not entirely sure who Ariana grande is. I saw on Facebook this morning that she's offered to pay for funerals has donated £1 million and is giving proceeds from her latest single to charity.

copper hope dgs gets sorted soon thoughts are with you.

wreck take care! Noted re jelly babies. A colleague is diabetic and apparently swears by mars bars.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2017 07:10

Oops wreck. Hope it's stabilised now. Yy to jelly babies. We always have some in.

Lovely teddy photo Adora.

Not watching the MCR gig. Shattered and started catching up on Dr who.
Oh dear copper. It's a roller coaster isn't it.

I have loads of loose Lego cards of anyone wants then. I can't remember who I sent which numbers to do if you want to pm me I will put them in the post.

Will have to do a top up shop today so will be in sainsbury tonight. Trying to decide if I can be arsed to go to the gym today or tomorrow. Will do one or the other.

Probably missed loads sorry.

Decided against either shoe. It's a want not a need.

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 07:15

Nooooo em mars bars are one of the worst things to have! They're so high in fat that they take ages to absorb plus they have double the amount of carbs that you actually need to get you out of a hypo.

Back to work today after half term. The dc have an inset day so are going to the child minders.

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/06/2017 07:16

Glad you are ok wreck . I had a friend at school who was diabetic, who was most put out when she had a hypo that all she was given to eat was a cheese sandwich Hmm Jelly babies sound good!

Flowers copper hope DGS doesn't have to wait too long for another slot. Flowers for the urgent case child too

Chilly this morning. Glad I have my big coat with me! I think I forgot to reboil the kettle for my travel mug this morning so my tea was a bit bleurgh

Hope you get home ok cag

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 07:53

Dh is getting annoyed now. With our estate agent. He is refusing to contact me despite me having waaaay more time than dh.

We told him (I told him) last week that they had two weeks to find us a buyer or we will have to go off market because of timings etc. . He wants to do another open house on 17th June. Which is after the two week deadline. Doesn't seem to listen to anything I'm saying.

thewaitresses · 05/06/2017 08:41

Morning! NSD day yesterday. Groceries today and possibly a drink at the cafe as DD has an inset day. Finding it really hard to keep up on my ancient laptop so sorry for missing people! I was fascinated when on the post-natal ward there was a diabetic breast-feeding mum - amazing to see how low her sugars dropped after each feed.

SnugglySnerd · 05/06/2017 09:47

Oops! Pleased you are OK, Wreck.

That's frustrating, Copper. Horrible when you and the rest of your family were psyched up for it.

I watched some of the concert then went to bed. Pleased they did it as an act of solidarity and defiance more than anything but have to admit I didn't recognise many of the performers. I must be getting old!

Just got the babies all ready for a walk but I can't face the torrential rain. Hoping it will be nicer later or it's going to be a long day!

Need to buy nappy bags though has reached emergency situation!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 05/06/2017 10:38

Morning all Smile

Am off today with dd as she has an inset day, was expecting the carpet cleaner to come but he has problems with his van so has cancelled so now debating what to do today!

Dd is being a grumpy git mind, think she has been a bit spoiled with a lovely half term and is now acting like a brat Hmm might nip out to a local garden centre to have a coffee and look at the plants I absolutely will not buy any more plants though

Weather is rubbish which is a shame, such a pain not being able to hang washing out.

Laska5772 · 05/06/2017 10:43

Life yes please! Have pmd you. I am back at work.. people being pretty kind although of course lots of ribbing. Have discovered nose still quite swollen though it doesnt look too bad. Computer specs hurt!! ( oh may have to go home again then!! Wink)

LonelyOversharer · 05/06/2017 11:03

girlie dd2 was like this this morning. Where has my sweet girl gone?? I fear it is puberty knocking on the door. Sigh. At least mine have gone to school, and can be grumpy there!

Weather rubbish, sooo windy. May pot out the last tomatoes, as they've totally outgrown the pots they're in, plus it isn't raining in the greenhouse. Just on my 5th cup of coffee. Seriously cba today.

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/06/2017 11:32

Snuggly when we went swimming the other day I saw a mum with two sets of twins in tow. Two girls aged about 9 and two boys aged about 4. They were walking from the car park to the pool and the boys were both in their swimming costumes, wearing hooded towels and both with their arm bands inflated and already on their arms. It really brought it home to me how the organisational skills of a Mum of twins need to be so different. I was in awe of that Mum. I hope things are going well for you there. BrewCake

Coppersulphate · 05/06/2017 12:30

They decided to bump other family. Don't know why. So DGS is in theatre now.....for 8 hours. Surprise this morning 7am. The other family were from Northern Ireland so had been staying in hospital. It is very hard for them but the consultant makes the decision. So hard all round.
Couldn't watch the concert. Kept thinking of those poor young girls.
Hospital in London in lockdown. Armed police everywhere. Some of the London victims are in being treated.
