Thanks, Sunny. I think we're doing OK! Two sets of twins would be incredibly hard work, I'm in awe too! Actually I meant to say I like your idea of using a courier for luggage. That would be really useful when we go on holiday as the double buggy takes up so much of the boot

Braved the rain to get nappy bags from local shop but they were £1.75 for 50. Ridiculous! Will go to supermarket tonight there are way cheaper. I did spend £4 on fruit though.

SnugglySnerd · 05/06/2017 12:35

Flowers Copper. It must be an emotional roller coaster for you today. I do hope that the opening is successful.

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 12:58

Thinking of you copper hope everything goes ok for dgs xxxx

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/06/2017 13:25

That's great that they went ahead with it Copper. I will be thinking of you while you're waiting there. Take car. Flowers

Iris65 · 05/06/2017 14:02

Hope your DGS gets his surgery soon copper.
Good luck with your claims christmas
Made it to work for my short stint then came straight home and went to bed as I am absolutely shattered having been through a lot recently. The exhaustion is saving me a lot of money though as I am too tired go out Wink
I bought a glass of orange juice and lemonade yesterday in a restaurant (£2.95) and I shared a roast Sunday lunch with my DP which he paid for. We often share meals as we both find portion sizes too big.
I had to buy some food (all basics) from the Co op though which came to £13 - but got our usual cereal on offer 2 for £4.00. Its normally £2.90 a box.
Hope everyone has a fab Monday.

Cagliostro · 05/06/2017 14:07

Best of luck copper thinking of you all.

Home and absolutely shattered and nausea appears to have returned. But I'm home so that's a relief. Really glad DH managed to come to the rescue Blush

No worries laska.

Hope dgs is heading to recovery now copper.

Spendy evening as going to shop

LonelyOversharer · 05/06/2017 16:11

Hope you are holding up copper I hope dgs is out soon, and safe in recovery.

I randomly logged into quidco and topcashback today, haven't for yonks. So, I got £2.25 for registering for experian free credit score, £1.75 for ordering ds a scooter, and, for a punt I applied for a barclycard 0% balance transfer card...which I was approved. The lunatics have 'given' me a 10k limit. So, lots of decisions to make about how to tart my debt about, should be able to shuffle it so almost all of it is sitting on 0% for the next year, and can tart it again after that. But I pay, in all, close to £180 a month interest on the 20k, so not to add to this will be epic. Plus it should track as £35 cashback.

Other than that, I've been reading about freezing cakes. We have an egg issue, so I am going to batch make all the carrot cake and sponge and lemon mediera for the races I need...I will use dozens of the surplas eggs, and make the midnight baking the day before a race a lot less stressy.

Hotdogs for tea (homemade bread rolls with proper sausages in), plus pancakes for pudding (more eggs used here!).

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/06/2017 16:32

Thinking of you all copper

It's now chucking it down and windy while I wait for my train connection Angry

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 17:21

Dh hasn't been paid (obviously) and we haven't got any money for food so I'm really impressed that I've rustled up two home made pizzas and made bagel garlic bread Grin (we have holiday money we could use if we needed to but I'm enjoying the challenge!)

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 17:21

Been thinking of you and your dgs copper

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 17:26

lonely can I come for dinner? Sounds amazing. I love hotdogs. 🌭🌭

Currently chewing on gaviscon having just bought about a 12 years supply (24 one for home one for handbag) I think the heartburn/indigestion has kicked in 😭 Eugh. But I used boots points so technically free. Apparently if I see my gp I can get these on prescription. May look into that if it continues.

Feel wiped out today. Looking forward to dinner (veggie risotto) then book tea and bed. Yay!

It's windy as anything and raining sideways here. Am absolutely soaked. In the car waiting for dh to finish work.

Ferries cancelled today so tons of angry people ranting on the ferry cos Facebook page (to be fair they knew the weather would be awful for the next two days so cancelled people a couple of days ago but still....)

WreckTangled · 05/06/2017 17:32

Em ask for ranitidine so much better.

Tada!

May we continue our furious frugaleering into June : )
Coppersulphate · 05/06/2017 18:02

DGS is in recovery and doing well. Phew! That was scary. Surgeon says it went well.
Thanks so much for all the good wishes, it does make a difference.
If anyone has any spare Lego cards I would love them for DGD....big sister....I am looking after her all week.

Coppersulphate · 05/06/2017 18:09

DD and DSiL are staying in hospital. DGS in intensive care. Me and DGD at her house.
Pizza express for tea. This week will be expensive but worth it as long as DGS is ok

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/06/2017 18:41

Great news Copper. We'll still be crossing fingers for you overnight.
My husband sends his best wishes too. He was just asking after you.

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 18:45

wreck yummm

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/06/2017 19:11

Great news copper

Are you missing certain Lego cards or do you just want unopened ones? I can send you some- pm me your address. Should be able to post them to you tomorrow

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/06/2017 19:12

wreck if that is leftovers in your house then I want to come to tea

Well done lonely on the credit card thing. £180 of interest payment saving per month is a great saving

ememem84 · 05/06/2017 19:17

Squtternut bosh Parmesan and basil risotto for dinner.

Pj's on. Make up off. We had a couch dinner. Now me and catface are watching tv. I'm eating a bit of Bakewell tart. screw the indigestion

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/06/2017 19:28

Well done Iris, I buy basics foods. We've recently swapped from Aldi to waitrose because with the offers its not much more. The food isn't much different though! Dh quite surprised. Lots of people shun basics ranges.

Copper Phew! His parents must be wrung out. Pizza express sounds fab.

Wreck His boss is so shit.

£2 parking
80p wine & apple pie, I had a gift card.

Am now qualified in spray tan contouring. Useful.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 05/06/2017 19:38

Its raining sideways here as well Shock my water butt is over flowing, so in true frugal spirit I have braced the elements to fill up as many containers with water as I can, will def invest in another water butt as well at some point as need lots of water for all my pots.

Great that your dgs is out of theatre and everything went well Copper must be so stressful for you all. Will get dd to work out what lego cards she needs and which she can pass on later.

We have had a quiet day in the end, caught up on lots of jobs which is good. We popped out to a garden centre but the weather was so awful they closed off quite a lot of it!! Spent £8 of tea and cakes for me and dd, spent another £7 on a gift and some dreamies which were on offer (my cats are dreamies addicts Blush) looked but avoided buying any more plants Halo

Noticed today that Amazon haven't taken the money for stuff they have actually sent me Confused and also the car insurance hasn't come out.

Have written cheques for dds drama club £24 and her school class photo £8.50. Seems weird to think that this will be her last few weeks at primary now Sad since starting school time seems to have been on fast forward.

FizzyOrange · 05/06/2017 19:51

Copper pleased everything went well for your DGS.

Iris I buy basic stuff too and it's fine Smile

NSD, first one in ages.

Coppersulphate · 05/06/2017 20:01

Girlie, haha about the water butts. Last time it rained heavily I also braved the elements and filled up every container I could. I was glad of it the following week when it was scorching and I needed to water.
