Hmm interesting hearing your thoughts on drinking. I think it's confirmed what I have been thinking for a while and I'll just stop. I don't drink very often anyway so shouldn't be a big deal.

It's a shame it's raining perfect day for a sausage roast though Easter Smile

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 27/03/2016 12:19

Happy Easter everyone Easter Smile
It is simply pouring with rain here. Just taken the dogs out and got totally drenched.
Nsd yesterday, but have just run out if milk. Rubbish planning strikes again. Kiddies full of chocolate and scotch pancakes. Hoping the coop will be open in the nearest village.

I haven't drunk properly for about 14 years, and nothing at all for about 6 Blush I had the image of falling down the stairs while drunk and my little kiddies finding me in the morning - kind of put me off. Plus being pregnant for 3yrs and bf for almost 6yrs... now my brain can't cope with feeling out of control. Maybe I need to relax a bit!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/03/2016 12:26

Happy Easter all Easter Grin Chocolate hope you all have a lovely day, its beautiful sunshine here!!

We are venturing out, only to my mums but will still be the furthest we have gone other than a hospital room or the flat in a while!!

Ipsos · 27/03/2016 12:40

Girlie Sorry to hear Easter is coming slowly for you. I reckon gratitude is probably a good thing to celebrate Easter with though. Maybe next week will be better, especially if we get some sun. I hope your dd is finding each day a little bit better.

My ds is still a bit difficult with not eating and whathaveyou, but we're getting in a lot of practice with discipline and he's even tried reasoning with me at length which was nice. He also suggested a day in bed with a book, which I thought was wonderfully middle aged of him. The road to happiness, I feel.

He's testing my frugaleering about every 15 minutes with demands for bought things. I'm so glad that I have my budget totally understood and under control. Whenever he pushes hard I explain a little more about money and budgeting and he's finding it quite interesting. He was shocked to know that a lego dragon costs 100x more than a bowl of brown rice.

Cagliostro · 27/03/2016 14:47

Happy Easter all. Egg hunt was much enjoyed by the DCs (and I enjoyed writing it!).

Haven't quite caught up yet, but wanted to say I also love Hook. Watched it frequently growing up. Haven't watched it since RW died though - the film makes me cry as it is, not sure I could handle it now :(

Cagliostro · 27/03/2016 15:04

FWIW I don't drink at all really. I had the odd drunken sleepover during college :o but then had my eldest at 20 and due to pregnancy/BFing got somewhat out of the habit :o I've never liked wine, beer or most spirits anyway [fussy] so it's easy not to.

Ipsos does your DS get pocket money? Mine get £1 a week each (and a little extra if we go to a touristy place etc). Has to include sweets and magazines unless they get round DH Hmm in the supermarket we don't control what they spend it on at all - if they blow it, they'll learn. Sounds like your DS might be ready for it, if he doesn't have it already. :)

Cagliostro · 27/03/2016 15:05

Just reread my post and thought I should clarify, I didn't mean that kind of sleepover! Shock Blush

Ipsos · 27/03/2016 15:12

Cag Yes I probably should give him pocketmoney. Problem is that I like lego too much and we have quite a lot of it, partly because I buy it as treats for myself and call it treats for ds. It means that ds has unrealistic expectations about lego expenditure though. We''re gradually working it out though. I love that we can discuss money now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2016 16:10

Don't worry Cag, we all did regrettable things at college.

I wore velvet jeans. Only once though.

WreckTangled · 27/03/2016 16:20

You lot would disown me if you found out what I got up to in college Easter ShockEaster BlushEaster Wink

lilacclery · 27/03/2016 17:05

Wreck were you a devil?Shock
Nsd so far dh paid topup on voucher for lunch, he was working last night so he bought himself boots & a jacket for work as well as paying the balance on lunch. While it was nice I'm looking forward to the couple of days away to sort my head out a bit Sad
Dd said to me in the toilet at restaurant you know I'm always there for you mammy even when I'm sleeping I'm sorry that daddy pushed you. SadSad have reassured her that he won't again but I'm so Sad that she's aware of what happened.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2016 17:17

Oh Lila Sad

WreckTangled · 27/03/2016 17:25

Oh no lila SadThanks

I was a bit, wish I hadn't been!

Ipsos · 27/03/2016 17:36

Gosh, that's hard Lilac. Glad you have a dd to be there for you though.

babsmam · 27/03/2016 17:36

Oh no lilac. Flowers

Ememem84 · 27/03/2016 17:36

Jeeez you would have hated me when I was at college/uni. I was --a bit of a slut bucket/- very friendly.

Ememem84 · 27/03/2016 17:36

Balls. Strikeout fail.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 27/03/2016 19:06

Happy easter all, we spent few hrs at Silverstone free easter fun day was windy n cold but dry. Other than petrol n picnic we didn't spend a penny.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/03/2016 19:10

I think part of the reason I can't tolerate alcohol now is because of how much I abused my liver at uni Blush I am Halo now though Easter Wink

Lila I think I have missed some of what has been happening with you and your dh, hadn't realised he had pushed you Angry really hope you are o.kay.

We have had a nice day, had lovely lunch at my mums and even made it out for a shortish walk over the fields. Am knackered now though and dd has a sulk on as she can't find her diary Hmm things seem to be getting back to normal Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2016 19:32

I've cleared my wardrobe out, 2 skirts and one top are on probation.

Quick question, red patent peep toes with khaki all saints biker jeans. Yes or "are you on glue?".

Dh says no. He actually said "brave" which is even worse.

Too chicken for style and beauty.

I have no idea Fluffy as I am unable to wear either skinny anything jeans or heels. I'm sure it's better than velvet jeans, though. Easter Wink

Shit, Lilac - that must have been horrible to hear. Keep those words in your mind when you are figuring out what to do. And I agree with what was said earlier - please do talk to your mum. You can do this. Thanks

Pointlessfan · 27/03/2016 20:24

Eek! Very spendy couple of days on holiday so far, meals out, treats from farm shop and parking. Going to rein it in a bit tomorrow and go to Tesco! Had a lovely run around on a blustery beach this afternoon and got wet socks when DD dragged me into the sea! Just had lovely pub meal and resisted pudding as we have quite a lot of Easter eggs to get through.
Sorry to hear things are tough lilac. Hope you are ok.

babsmam · 27/03/2016 20:25

For what occasion fluffy? I think they look fine

WreckTangled · 27/03/2016 20:26

Fluffy I love the look but not sure khaki and red go. Very Easter Envy though.

beesarethebest · 27/03/2016 20:38

fluffy I actually like them both. Separately or together..!

lila did I miss a post about your H? Shocktake care of yourself!! Vent here if you need. We re here.

Spent a couple of quid at church. And £1.49 on hot choc at McDonald's.

Made roast dinner tonight with the works. Kids ate a lot. I believe I peeled 13-15 potatoes. For 4 of us. And it's all gone. I was half hoping for some bubble and squeak tomorrow!!
