The idea of these important studies being compromised by unethical funding is awful, and I am relieved that I was wrong in my assumption.

Props for admitting your mistake, but why would you assume, absent any evidence, that a charitable foundation was providing funding unethically?

To answer your question, I just assumed that if FTX was attached to the study, it could have been compromised because of the unethical financial practices that have been revealed in the past few days. Again, I was hoping to see if anyone had any insight on the matter, and I am happy to have been wrong.

did we? The AZ vaccination is a standard modified viral vector, the same technology as many other vaccines so will have a similar safety profile.

In the US, all of the covid vaccines have been purchased by the government. I assume in the UK, they were purchased by the NHS. I assume the choice was made because the mRNA vaccines are more effective.
