Would this influence anyone from getting the next booster?

Your desire to find conspiracies is very strange.
I wasn't posting on this board in March!
Why are you trying to derail the discussion and make up stories?

Tbh you're not the only one who gets to think things are strange.

And if you've read this thread I'm certainly in the right place for conspiracies.

And I'm not doing either.

@sunglassesonthetable
You are mistaken. Today is the first day I have posted anything Covid related. The idea of a conversation in March is wrong. Today is also the 1st day I have communicated with @EcoTourist, which i mentioned above. I write this only to set the record straight. Your information is incorrect.

sunglassesonthetable · 05/10/2022 20:34

@peppathe3rd
@EcoTourist

My apologies. The thread was from March not your part but in it at all. You were completely correct in that and I was completely wrong in that.

The rest remains the same.

I experienced a neurological issue/injury post-vax which mimicked an initial MS attack with facial paralysis and vision loss. Docs prepared me for it being MS but subsequently I was told it was actually an unusual one-off inflammatory injury. I still went for the booster and had it even when I saw that facial paralysis was a noted symptom to consider (in the leaflets they gave me at the vax centre). I'm not sure if I would have the fourth. It would depend on how bad things were getting. Generally I am pro the vaccine and vaccination in general.

Thank you very much for your message. I appreciate your honesty. I even went back to make triple sure I hadn't written anything before, as I was doubting my own memory!! 🤪

I haven't had a single Covid jab and won't be having one either, check out " died suddenly " on Facebook!

broodyat39 · 05/10/2022 21:23

Also if the vaccine was so beneficial to our health's we would be paying top dollar for it, like everything else, nothing good comes for free, especially with this government

Sounds legit.

Another US poster?

How'd you square that with all the other free public health interventions @broodyat39 ? Free contraceptive pill, free vaccines, free dental care in pregnancy etc etc.

The government aren't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, it's because it saves them money in the long term.

How when they've made millions from the vaccines and tests? PPE etc? I'm in the UK also don't know why u presume I'm from USA, open your mind, stop believing everything that box in your living room tells u, do some independent research. The same government who are crippling everyone, making themselves richer by the second, care about you? Want to prevent u going into hospital when they are trying to crush the nhs? Ok petal

I think this argument only really works of you believe that no one has ever died or got very ill from covid, and as the mum of a child who got really ill with covid, developed MISC, and a heart problem for 18ish months I find that really really crass. “Do some independent research” yes thanks I actually did, from the consultants who diagnosed my son’s post-covid illness, does that count?

To be clear, that doesn’t mean that I don’t think vaccine injuries can happen. But downplaying covid like this and stating the vaccine is more dangerous is not supported by any evidence.

BewareTheLibrarians · 05/10/2022 21:58

*if you believe, obviously.

MissConductUS · 05/10/2022 22:20

Well put. Anti-vaxers think there is a risk free option. There isn't. It's almost funny when they turn up in A&E with hypoxia.

I am so done with anti-vaxxers with their faux naivety starting threads online to play on peoples fears.

No one has ever said any vaccine is all singing, all dancing. It’s always a numbers game. A 1 in a million chance of vaccine damage vs a 14x higher chance of dying from covid unvaccinated? It’s a no brainer. I am desperately hoping I get offered a covid booster.

1 in a million chance of vaccine damage.

Where's your evidence for this???? Or did you just pull this figure out of thin air?

broodyat39 · 05/10/2022 22:45

I'm sorry about your child being ill, I don't wish anybody ill, especially not children. My mums had covid 4 x she's had 3 jabs, my dads not had it, recovering from cancer.... I don't know of 1 single person who has died " with " covid. With all due respect did ur child have the vaccine before or after their illness? 2 friends fully jabbed have both been diagnosed with various medical conditions since having the vaccine, there are no long term data studies on the long term effects of these vaccines as they are brand new. It's not about being anti vax, I'm fully Vaccinated bar covid and the flu, it's about wanting to know the side effects short and long term? Please check out the " died suddenly " page on Facebook

See? Every single time. 😁

MrsFezziwig · 05/10/2022 22:51

Not sure why these threads are becoming a thing again? I thought the autumn booster was only going to be offered to the over-50s, so likely half those who are protesting on here that they won’t be having it, won’t even be offered it. I don’t really understand the need for them to meddle, surely whether I have it or not does not affect them in any way?

BewareTheLibrarians · 05/10/2022 22:59

@broodyat39 Given that he was ill after covid for 18+ months and he’s not (as far as I’m aware) a time traveller, he did indeed get ill way, way before he ever had a covid vaccine. He first fell ill in March 2020, and had his first vaccination in Sep 2021.

Can I seriously ask you why you’d even question me saying it was covid that made him ill?

Why on earth do you think I would think he got ill from the vaccine but then go on mumsnet and say it was covid? What on earth would that achieve? If he got ill from the vaccine I would want people to know that. But he didn’t. He got ill from covid, before any covid vaccines existed. Why are some people so determined to shut that down?

Sorry is there a joke here I missed? What is funny? When anti-vaxers end up in the hospital or when pro-vaxers end up in the hospital? Both equally disturbing to me. How can anyone value a life more or less based on vaccine status? I assume there is some kind of joke here that I missed, as some replies have laughing emojis.

I asked a simple question

peppathe3rd · 05/10/2022 23:17

@BewareTheLibrarians
Your sincerity is evident in your messages. I can feel the pain and frustration in your words, and I'm certain I would feel exactly the same in your position. My heart goes out to you and thank goodness your child has recovered from such a dreadful case of Covid. Lots of love.

BewareTheLibrarians · 05/10/2022 23:28

@broodyat39 Apologies for my frustration, but I had already answered the point that he got ill way before having a vaccine on this thread (on this page actually, if you’re a 100 posts a page person!) so you’re the second person this evening to ask “actually was it the vaccine though?” Can you imagine how frustrating that is? Why is your first instinct to question me or doubt I know what made my son so ill? Why are you asking people to unreservedly believe vaccine injuries/deaths but think it’s ok to cast doubt on covid causing illness/death?
