Wondered whether many at this stage are still cautious (outside of official guidelines) even if not vulnerable

Does anyone still avoid certain places eg busy pubs or soft plays?
Keep windows open when visitors?

At this point everyone I know is a lot more relaxed and living life normally

None.
Well, masks because I have to but don’t avoid anything.

LawnFever · 16/01/2022 21:47

Mask if I’m somewhere I have to, that’s it now, I’m done with it all and I need my life back for my own sanity.

Masks. I don't mind them my eyes are one of my best features and they hide my chin hairs.

DH is CEEV and is still very reluctant to go anywhere as it would be very bad if he got covid. I'm really missing cinema and going out for meals with him. I do go with friends but it's not the same.

I'm still wfh but that's company policy.

DaisyWaldron · 16/01/2022 21:49

At work we have to wear a mask and keep windows and doors open for ventilation.

I wouldn't go to a pub or restaurant indoors. I've been going to church online for the past few weeks, because cases have been really high locally, and I want vulnerable people to feel safe in church, and I'm one of the higher risk people. I wouldn't go anywhere indoors where most people weren't wearing masks.

Bluebluemoon39 · 16/01/2022 21:50

None really. Masks if I have to and I definitely wash my hands more than I used to (after coming home from the shops etc). But I've always been a bit of a germaphobe!

The ones i legally need to take- masks in shops etc.
Lateral flow twice a week for work plus before visiting parents or other vulnerable people.
I've had my 3 vaccines.
Im not avoiding pubs and cafes, its good to support local businesses, but I prefer places that are not too crowded. More because Im an introvert than because of covid.

EileenGC · 16/01/2022 21:54

I'm in Germany and the law here is still very strict (FFP2 masks only, vaccination / recovery certificate plus a negative test for restaurants, shopping centres, events...).

On top of that I need to do 3 PCR tests at work every week. Have just dropped an additional two antigen tests at the weekend, as I'm boosted and they've changed the rules recently.

I don't avoid busy places, but I do limit close and maskless social interactions, unless I know people have just tested negative. Most of my friends are also colleagues at work and we feel very comfortable around each other, we see each other outside work often.

NothingIsWrong · 16/01/2022 21:54

None. Masks where legally required, that's it

Angel2702 · 16/01/2022 21:59

Yes we still avoid crowed indoor places, always wear masks in shops etc. I’m not concerned about the virus but cannot afford the multiple isolations. Currently having to stay home with DS having had DD off with it in October.

oldtableleg · 16/01/2022 22:02

none

firstimemamma · 16/01/2022 22:02

None and I've never taken any ever unless forced e.g not allowed a GP appt unless wearing a mask.

RuthW · 16/01/2022 22:03

Masks at all times when with other

Avoid mixing with more than a few.

Sit near an open window when visiting parents.

Don't go to restaurants.

Social distancing at work - as is everyone else

I hand sanitise a bit more than I used to, and do a 20 second hand wash every time, that’s it.

DramaAlpaca · 16/01/2022 22:08

I wear a mask in shops etc but have to by law where I am. I prefer not to go to very crowded, busy places. I wash my hands a lot and use hand sanitiser at entrances to shops etc. I do a lateral flow test every Sunday and don't wear a mask at work. It's the same as I've done all the way through the pandemic, apart from the masks at work which we've dropped recently - we are not public facing.

Randominternetbitch · 16/01/2022 22:10

Masks only because I’m forced to. I’m triple jabbed and already had covid. I’ve nothing to fear.

Northernsoullover · 16/01/2022 22:12

I'll still wear masks on public transport and in shops. Its law here. I don't mind and believe masks help. I'm not avoiding any socialising though. I'm not bothered about not wearing a mask in pubs and gyms. If I have to get covid I'd rather get it doing something I love than on a bus.

usernotfound0000 · 16/01/2022 22:14

Masks when I have to. Lateral flow tests if meeting people who could be vulnerable. Otherwise going about life as normal.

Quedit · 16/01/2022 22:18

I insist before all friend meet ups that we do LFTs within 24 hours, wear masks indoors when mixing, outdoors we social distance and mask up when social distancing isn't possible. Decline any invitations from idiot anti vaxxers who haven't had their boosters, unfriended them on FB too, racist bastards.

Joking!!! NONE! Don't even know nor care who's jabbed or not..living on the edge here 😂😝😈

FixItUpChappie · 16/01/2022 22:20

Only those mandated. Where I am that means:

-masks where required
-show proof of vaccination where required
-when we are able we do something, we do and have throughout - restaurants, kids sports, theatre etc.
-mix of wfh and in person work - same throughout

Currently home with DS2 who is perfectly fine but is required to isolate 10 days for having a minor temp one day last week. If it weren't for the law I would send him in.

southeastdweller · 16/01/2022 22:22

None at all. I've had it and all good now.
