Has anyone NOT had Covid?

I feel myself and family are the only people on earth that hasn't had Covid, everyone I know has had it!

Just to add out if the people who have had it in our immediate family (6 out of 37 people) x2 were children and x4 were fully vaccinated.

Autumndays123 · 31/12/2021 08:07

Well, looking at the stats, around 50 million people in the UK haven't had it, and that's from assuming all covid cases reflect an individual person. Of course in reality that is skewed as many people have had it twice/three times. But either way, yeah most of the UK have not had it, by far

SpringRainbow · 31/12/2021 08:09

We have still never tested positive, so officially we have never had it.

I find this hard to believe really, I have no idea how we have managed to ‘escape’.

I work from home, but I have two kids at school and my DH is a front line non medical key worker.

LubaLuca · 31/12/2021 08:13

I don't think I have, even when those around me have (one of my children and close work colleagues). I think far more people haven't had it than have, so it's not that surprising really.

maa32 · 31/12/2021 08:13

Me. Was late getting jabbed (now double jabbed) and I've been exposed multiple times and still haven't caught it. I also work in healthcare

Makingnumber2 · 31/12/2021 08:19

We are sure DH had it right at the very start- kept being given antibiotics for tonsilitis which did nothing. I then also started feeling poorly and had horrible burning sensation in chest for weeks. But at that point there was no PCR or lat flow testing- so we will never know. DD had covid this year at end of October- DH and I didn’t test positive for it on PCR or twice weekly lat flows.

Hepzibar · 31/12/2021 08:22

Neither me or H have had it, we work in education and care. DS had it October 2020.

I have a team of 20 staff (education) and prior to this Christmas break just 2 had covid. Over Christmas 3 of the team have tested positive.

CovidForChristmas · 31/12/2021 08:32

I think some people are more susceptible to it.
We’ve had it twice now. Once in 2020 and again this Christmas. Different variants I assume. This is despite being jabbed and boosted.
Our London borough has constantly high rates and low vaccination uptake so I wouldn’t be surprised if we get it again at some point.

Iggly · 31/12/2021 08:32

None of us have had it. And until recently, none of our wider families has had it. But plenty of friends and my dc’s friends have had it.

kookievee · 31/12/2021 08:33

Me and DH.
9yo had it earlier this month and we skipped it.

Iggly · 31/12/2021 08:33

I should add though, knowing what I know now, we may have had it before but as we only did PCRs once (and only for one of our dcs), we may well of had it but not known. The PCR may have been too early.

Refrosty · 31/12/2021 08:34

Me, until this week Grin

Snowiscold · 31/12/2021 08:40

I haven’t had it, and nor has DH. We live in a London borough with high rates of Covid and low vaccination and we travel by public transport daily. My elderly parents haven’t had it, and nor have my early-20s DC. Nor has my sister - public-facing health professional.

JollyAndBright · 31/12/2021 08:40

DP, i and DS (14) have not had it. Although DP and I both still WFH and DS is sensible with wearing a mask and using hand sanitiser as much as he can.
(Mil who we spend a lot of time with is clinically vulnerable so we have always tried hard to take extra precautions)

My mum is a nurse who has worked with covid positive patients all through the pandemic, but she has not caught it, she’s very good with her ppe routine though. She also does twice weekly pcr tests and LFT before every shift.

My dad, sister, BIL and her DCs (under 4) have also not had it.

Fuckaduck21 · 31/12/2021 08:41

None of my household have had it. No idea how, was working as a nurse in A&E when it first started, then moved to ITU (which was full of covid patients when I started) so have had massive exposure.
Many of my colleagues have had it, my dad died of it at the beginning of the year, many friends and their children have had it....yet we've still managed to avoid it. Feel like a sitting duck in all honesty.

Groovee · 31/12/2021 08:43

Currently, I'm the only one in the house without Covid. I'm day 7 of my isolation. Had mixed with them all prior to the positives.

Innocenta · 31/12/2021 08:44

I haven't yet. CEV, triple vaxxed, have been shielding all the way through. (I know formal shielding has ended, but told to continue by doctors.)

babouchette · 31/12/2021 08:45

I haven't, as far as I know. Have been testing from time to time but nothing so far. Most people I know have had it, though.

Gonnagetgoing · 31/12/2021 08:47

Me. But been very careful far more than I’d usually be due to 2 immune compromised conditions and not being able to see my DM who is very at risk.

Fifthtimelucky · 31/12/2021 08:48

None of us have had it (as far as I know).

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 31/12/2021 08:49

There are 4 of us at home and only DS1 has had it.

Gonnagetgoing · 31/12/2021 08:49

@CovidForChristmas - interesting as I’m double jabbed and boosted. Unsure if I’m unsusceptible to it or just been lucky.
Katya213 · 31/12/2021 08:51

Never had it, nor any of my family, despite being in close contact many many times. We get every other virus going, including one we have had since Christmas day that has saw us bedridden.

coogee · 31/12/2021 08:52

I haven’t. The only people I know who have are my husband and his nephew. Nobody on my side of the family has had it.

Aposterhasnoname · 31/12/2021 08:53

Me. Had an antibody test before regular testing was a thing, and it was negative. Tested twice a week for work since. All negative. Worked throughout in a high risk profession, had two major outbreaks at work, live in an area that was in the top five for infections last year. Been abroad twice and holidayed in Cornwall when it all kicked off there, did eat out to help out, and went to the pub weekly whenever they were open, but never caught it, and DH is the same. Starting to think I’m one of the super immune you here about.
