Is everyone treating every day in the lead up to the Big Day now?

I know I need to step up with the testing considering the mixing we will be doing over Christmas and will start testing daily from today. Are others doing the same?

It's quite nerve wracking though as it's late in the game to have to put a stop to all the lovely plans. Fingers crossed for good health people.

No, I was but you can’t get any tests round here. Every pharmacy has signs up basically saying don’t even ask. Website saying none available.

We are testing daily because we have contacts in the household. If we didn’t then I would just be testing Xmas eve before seeing family or any days we are going somewhere that will be crowded.

Nope. Spending xmas day with inlaws who work with us so all taking the same risks.
If my elderly Grandad is visiting boxing day I will do a LTF then.

I would only be testing if I had symptoms, but we're seeing an immunosuppressed relative on Christmas Day so will be testing over the next few days. The worry about getting a positive test is really spoiling the run up to Christmas though.

Testing every day and will do until my mum has left boxing day night. I do not want to take any chances at all as she has been shielding all the way through this and I don't want to be the one who infected her.

Currently doing daily LFT as was in close contact on Friday and want to make sure I don’t pass anything to parents over Xmas. Also already ordered home pcr so it can be sent off immediately if get symptoms this week.

Testing as a colleague came back positive just after spending the day at work. Currently awaiting precautionary PCR while lat flowing every morning.

Testing every couple of days as required for work. I tested last night which covers me for today and tomorrow, I'll test again Saturday (or more likely Fri evening) as I am working Christmas Day so need a negative test to go to work.

No. I test twice a week because I have an underlying condition which means if I catch it I have to stop taking my medication (immunosuppressant) and contact my rheumatology department. But I tested this morning (negative) so I won't test for a few days now. I have one more supermarket trip to do and after that I won't leave the house until the 27th so there's no need to do one for ages. It'll make a lovely change to not even have to think about it.

No. We tested yesterday as we looked after another child for the day and will test xmas eve but only as we are visiting family and my mum has cancer so need to ensure as much as we can that we are all ok before seeing her.
Ds has a cough and cold but tested neg yesterday. Hopefully its just a cold and not covid!

Two colleagues have Covid and we were together last Wednesday in London, I’ve now got a very slight headache and a little bit of a runny nose. Lft is negative so might go for a pcr as seeing elderly parents on Christmas Day. But I haven’t been testing regularly.

Someone I work with just tested positive so I am testing everyday, I work for GP so normally have to test twice a week anyway

I'm testing. Not quite every day, but before any interactions with relatives. I think we'll be ok as DH and I are boosted, dd1 is double jabbed (with an appointment booked for her booster) and doesn't go out anywhere anyway and dd2 just had covid a couple of weeks ago. My parents have been so cautious and careful for a year and a half, I'm not going to put them at risk now. Especially not while their local hospital are struggling with staff absence due to covid.
