Yes, I will be ignoring any instructions. I will make my own decisions as far as they are available to me (obviously can't go in establishments that are closed).

John Major tells an entertaining tale of having Boris Yeltsin to stay at Chequers, who decided on an afternoon walk that they had to go in the local pub. Only it was shut. Yeltsin knocks on the door anyway, landlord answers wanting to know who it is, to which Yeltsin says he is the president of Russia and the landlord replied that he is Rasputin.

I just wish they would get on with it. So many business are stuffed right now. I'm in the events industry and organising a big outdoor event for NYE. Suppliers have to be paid a week before the event. That gives us tomorrow .... sigh.

I want to go on the piss with Boris Yeltsin too. Yes, I know he's dead.

It'll probably just be new measures or lockdown after boxing day. Think we're all expecting it anyway, nothing new, no drama, just get on with it and announce it.
