When they say that 5-11 year olds can have the vaccine.. will your 5-11 year old be having it?

They have put this through in USA so guessing it will come soon here.
I would have it for my DD but my husband doesn’t want her to.
What are you going to do?

I’m leaning towards yes although I do wonder how long an updated version will take because it’s becoming increasingly clear that omicron is a game changer.

Yes. Especially looking forward to my 7 year old getting it as he has autism and is a super spreader of germs.

8-11 year olds started getting their 1st doses today here in Spain.
My children aren't having it.

Eldest is 13 and one of only a handful in his school not to be vaccinated. I'm guessing the majority of younger kids here will also be vaccinated.

Yes. American kids in that age group already vaccinated. They will be in a much better position facing Omicron.

Yes. My 7yo tested positive for covid last weekend. So far no-one else in the house has it, which is a huge relief as my husband is CEV and we've been shielding him very closely since this began. I will happily vaccinate him, and if they extend it to younger children (perhaps just to those in CEV families), I'd seriously consider it for my 2yo. We've just vaccinated her against flu to protect my husband, so why not?

My DD is 11 and she'll be having it as soon as she can. She's currently got covid and has got away relatively lightly with it. She'd still like the vaccine though, and I still want her to have it.
