Whether it gives a better picture fir NHS depends on his many cases there are.

Say it causes only half the number of hospitalisations (1% rather than 2%), but the number of cases is twice as high (escapes immunity, highly transmissible) then we still have the same number in hospital.

Not posting to be a doom monger, just to point out that controlling transmission matters

Does anyone know if there is info on how it's affected unvaccinated people? I'm assuming there are some unvaccinated who have Omicron. I'm not an anti-vaxxer before someone gets angry, just curious!

I have been avoiding the news-partly Covid and partly because I cannot bear to read about the Arthur case- but this just whizzed across my feed.

She does mention in the Twitter thread is likely as a result of prior immunity/vaccination and shows the importance of vaccination. She doesn’t necessarily mean it is mild in unvaccinated people with no prior infection. I think we’re still waiting to see that data.
