So the PM and chancellor aren't isolating even though Javid is positive, as they are taking part in a pilot programme. Ive heard it all now.

Never thought I'd say it but

Enough is enough.

@Fallsballs

And Johnson is hardly slumming it at Chequers.
Exactly.

They can fuck right off.

C8H10N4O2 · 18/07/2021 11:30

If he isolates in a no air conditioning high rise studio flat in central London I'm listening

Well quite. And the fact that they once again making a choice rather than submitting to the sorting had reinforces "one rule for us".

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 18/07/2021 11:32

@User135644

Yes I think there’s a weird belief that because someone went to Eton and talks posh they know what they’re doing @User135644**

Nothing will change in this country until the English love affair with the Conservatives and the aristocracy dissipates (i.e. never).

Yes this is the original goddom land of hope and glory with rulers lord of the manor types and peasants. The peasants will forever know their place to serve and protect those born to lead. There is no gaslighting corruption and contempt that will break this ruling coercive control of us peasants!
danni0509 · 18/07/2021 11:33
@danni0509 are you saying that you took part in the scheme but didn’t do as you required to by the scheme? Just lied to the researchers who presumably contacted you throughout?
@JanFebAnyMonth My husband had covid not me. So nobody contacted me throughout.

I could go on the pilot scheme as I was a close contact, had no symptoms & was able to do a daily lateral flow, so I applied, was rejected so thought fuck this if I had of been the lucky 50% I would of been able to go out. (Or rephrase that, if I was a Tory I would of been accepted onto the pilot no fucking problem!)

So no, I didn’t lie to anyone. Maybe read properly.

Independence won't protect you from thus ruling class *@ssd*.
It will when Scotland is independent.

Good luck with that.

@ssd

Krankie and her cronies is no better than the rest. Remember the Ferrier woman who took a train ride to London and back with covid

NorthernSoul55 · 18/07/2021 11:37

Both apparently going to self isolate now
....

Thisisworsethananticpated · 18/07/2021 11:38

And this is why I’ve deleted track and trace

PaulaPetunia · 18/07/2021 11:39

I don't see the Scottish leaders as better in any real way. We have the chief medical officer, the politician on her odyssey through her constituency and across the UK by train. The long term Glasgow situation. The Euro fans. Lumbering on vaccine rollout. No substantive end difference imho.

I AM glad we are keeping the masks in public enclosed places come Monday.

Fallsballs · 18/07/2021 11:39

Is track and trace not run by that idiot and mate of the Torys Dido ?!
Enough said…

bearandowl · 18/07/2021 11:40

One rule for the elites. Another rule for the rest of us.

UrAWizHarry · 18/07/2021 11:42

Christ, if we needed any more proof that the UK government is a bunch of thick bastards with no idea of how they are percieved.

Nobody, not one person thought "hang on, I wonder if people might get annoyed if we ignore our own rules and pretend we are taking part in a pilot scheme".

Fucking idiots.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/07/2021 11:42

there is a lot of private crony money in testing and tracing. Too much to give up
They now have a LOT of £kin in this game

Indeed - and last time I checked they also still had an 80 plus majority, a point at which principles become a definite optional extra

Anyone else old enough to remember "sale of the Century"? Because that's what I'm convinced we'll be seeing here, only this time with the NHS
Did anyone really believe they'd isolate themselves (or that they'll do it after the outcry) when there are deals to be done?

Lauz841 · 18/07/2021 11:42

My oldest son took part in a pilot scheme a few weeks ago, it’s not just limited to the rich/powerful etc. He was identified as being in close contact with a positive case at school. Instead of isolating for 10 days and therefore missing 8 full days of schooling, he had to attend the nurses office at 7.30am every day for a Covid test. If it was negative he could continue with schooling. He also had to have 3 negative pcr tests over the 10 days too. It worked brilliantly. He never got ill, never had a positive test and avoided missing over a week of school in his GCSE year.

nordica · 18/07/2021 11:45

The strange thing about the isolation rules and the proposed changes for the double jabbed from August is how they consider every contact to carry the same risk. Surely the chances of catching covid from a work meeting are much lower than catching it from someone you live it? Especially as you would have repeated contact with the infected person at home vs just one 15 or 60 minute contact in any other context?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/07/2021 11:46

Is track and trace not run by that idiot and mate of the Tories Dido ?!

Yes it is; there's also been some suggestion that she might become head of the NHS, or what's left of it

But see my previous comment ... having made one packet out of the largely useless T&T system, did you really think she'd go absent when there's another plum ripe for the plucking?

Fallsballs · 18/07/2021 11:46

I don’t think anyone is doubting the existence of the pilot scheme - it’s more that it was virtually unheard of until 2 Tories needed it and who got onto it immediately. Handy that.

Simbacatisback · 18/07/2021 11:49

Johnson's worth fuck all, thanks to his ex, who stitched him up. Good on her.

She earned all the Money-no stitching up

dreamingofsun · 18/07/2021 11:51

well i'm glad they are isolating

I got pinged and there is no way i was 2 metres from anyone for 15 mins when i did the supermarket shop. If they werent going to follow the rules then neither was I, despite following them throughout the pendemic so far.

this app means its now worse for me than the actual lockdowns themselves.

PhilCornwall1 · 18/07/2021 11:53

this app means its now worse for me than the actual lockdowns themselves.

So deinstall the app. Problem solved.

dreamingofsun · 18/07/2021 11:55

yes i think i probably will phil. Despite the fact that I'm someone who abides by rules, even I'm getting really pissed off with this app

No thet might not be better now but once we have independence we dont need to keep the SNP
