I heard that they will continue working from 10 and 11 Downing Street which are their respective homes. I think this is fine. Both doubled jabbed.

Yep, they were both contracted by NHS test and trace but they aren't self isolating as they are taking part in a pilot programme.

I do wonder what the criteria was for being part of that trial, surely it would be better to do it with people who won't get paid if they can't go into work.

My husband has Covid; he is on day 8 of isolation. We are both double jabbed. And over 65, and obviously household contacts.
T and T contacted me and asked if I would like to take part in the same pilot scheme, instead of joining my husband in enforced isolation. .
I did...and am testing every day, and every day I have a negative test ( all of them, plus a negative PCR), I am free to go about my usual activities....just like the PM.

Many more probably wouldn't have deleted the app if they didn't have to isolate, easy to have the app if it doesn't affect you.

@Grandma14 I don't think the pilot is running in Scotland where I live. It's just a bit convenient the way all the rich and powerful are seemingly on it.

I suspect they want as many people to catch delta as possible, as the vaccines work against it. Keeps beta suppressed (AZ only 10% effective against moderate disease from beta). So keeps long term hospital admissions down.

Apart from Princess Kate who probably fancied a few days off.
