Well if you compare the ONS figures (admittedly estimate) with actual positive tests then about half of people positive last week did not have a test and are, therefore, going, about their daily business none the wiser. Kind of makes a mockery of the testing and isolating.

According to the info on the gov website, participants in the study are randomly assigned to either a group that must continue to isolate for the full time, or a group that can test daily.
How fortuitous that Johnson and Sunak were both randomly assigned to the daily testing group. As was Michael Gove.

But presumably the fact that three named individuals have been named as being part of the LFT group must negate the result of the trial? Shouldn't the evaluation be on the basis that those doing any follow-up don't know which group the individuals concerned were in?
