We've had to 2 times

What about you?

None. DD goes to school and clubs and I'm a teacher.

PolarnOPirate · 09/02/2021 17:16

None. DH wfh, I’m a SAHM, no outbreaks in kids classes (reception/year 1 and 2 different nurseries).

lljkk · 09/02/2021 17:16

Our household never.
Most people I know -- never.

DD was supposed to as part of entering Uni. Didn't go well...
DS got caught in a residential workplace isolation experience.

The most isolation-afflicted person I know has toddlers - but her household still hasn't had covid.

DwarfQuasar · 09/02/2021 17:22

Our household never.

Same here, we wfh so not surprising for us, but even friends with children in nursery or school or who are teachers themselves haven't had any isolation periods.

GoldenPenPot · 09/02/2021 17:23

Zero times. I don’t have kids of school age though.

mootymoo · 09/02/2021 17:25

None, we don't go anywhere!

Remmy123 · 09/02/2021 17:34

Family of 5 - 0 times

Daisysflowers · 09/02/2021 17:34

Me - 0
Child - 1

Obviously child couldn’t be left on own so I basically self isolated for 2 weeks as well🙄

Dadnotamum72 · 09/02/2021 17:34

2 adults and 4 children, worked throughout, shop nearly daily, do have the app been on hols, been to pubs when open, zero tests and zero isolation.

DinosaurDiana · 09/02/2021 17:34

None.

MyHeroMakkaPakka · 09/02/2021 17:36

3 - all whilst waiting for (thankfully negative) test results. 1 was me and the other 2 were toddler dc

Sparklehead · 09/02/2021 17:47

As a family: DS(7) had to self-isolate for 10 days after positive test at school. The rest of us (family of 5) self-isolated once when we all came down with Covid. Isolated in total that time for 17 days to cover the correct time period from when the first member of the family got it through to the last.

BoredBeforelEvenBegan · 09/02/2021 17:47

Nobody in our house has. DH is wfh, DD 23 lost her job at the start of LD1 and hasn't found a new one so she never leaves the house and the only place I go is the supermarket twice a week. No contact with anyone at all since March last year, nobody to the house, met nobody, been nowhere, spoken to no-one.

Yes I'm going bananas but at least we've not had to isolate!

ssd · 09/02/2021 17:47

Mixed bag really, but probably more zero accounts than people who have had to isolate

Interesting

Yes Twice. Both times because a child in my class had a positive test (2 different schools)

luckymagnoliatree · 09/02/2021 17:53

Once due to DH testing positive. It was just after NY, still no idea how he got it but with two young children plus working and a house to run it was hellish as DH also has to self isolate away from us in the house.

Hopefully we will be lucky and not have to do it again! 🤞🤞

MaddieElla · 09/02/2021 17:55

2 adults 2 children. Ever isolated. Still don't know anyone who has had it.

I realise that could change overnight but I'm amazed we're a year down the line and we're so far okay.

MaddieElla · 09/02/2021 17:55

*never

redsky21 · 09/02/2021 17:56

Five times 😞 have two children that both had symptoms at different times and I have had contact with positive cases three times at work (nursery). None of us have had it yet though!

Veryverycalmnow · 09/02/2021 17:58

Twice.

wanderlove · 09/02/2021 18:03

Bloody hell some of you guys are really lucky! (Or maybe be we have had bad luck) stepson has had to isolate 4 times since October through school contacts. Baby had to isolate once because childminder tested positive. Oldest daughter currently on 3rd isolation because teacher has tested positive and his week. Only one in school out of 4 who hadn't had to isolate. Add in about 5 times testing and waiting for results so all had to stay in. One time it took 5 days to get the results.

Donoteatthekittens · 09/02/2021 18:09

I have a friend who works on a military base. Every fortnight on a Monday, she tests negative at work but then has contact with someone who tests positive. She is then sent home to WFH and isolate. I think this is her 10th? Week isolating now. Good isn’t it.

usernotfound0000 · 09/02/2021 18:11

DD's once each and then again for all of us after I tested positive.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 09/02/2021 18:12

4 of us here including 1 NHS worker and 2 comprehensive aged dc.

Oldest dc has had to isolate once due to a positive case in his year group at school.

That’s it. (So far).........

itsgettingwierd · 09/02/2021 18:17

Once when it was suspected I had it.

Pre testing era (last March)

Not bad considering I work in education and have been in school throughout!
