To MNHQ please delete my message from 14:18

It would appear that the SM post was porky pies.
I’m sorry I might have caused upset.
So I’m back on for my vaccination soon Smile

tinytemper66 · 19/03/2021 16:19

@Daffodil1967

I’ve just seen a message on SM which says no more vaccinations are being given out to carers as too many people are fibbing about being carers. ( BCUHB) I know I’ll get mine eventually but I do hope that mum and hubby who are both CEV are still able to get their second doses within the recommended time frame.

That is a shame. I am a carer for a disabled person and was lucky enough to have mine on Wednesday. I am in a different health board.

tinytemper66 · 19/03/2021 16:19

Oops...that will teach me to read the thread to the end!

I work for self contained tourism and we absolutely are full steam ahead - we’ve got bookings for 27/28 March because we took it as he said it Sad (obviously wales only.) we will be gutted if he denies all knowledge.

It will happen unless it doesn't he said today 🙄

We only have the one cottage , and we’re not taking bookings for Easter , we will only know for sure just before Easter a d it would be a nightmare if we then have to cancel ( we use Airbnb anyway , so they sort it out ) Everything else will be closed , we’re near the National Botanic Gardens ( closed ) all the small shops are closed. ,restaurants ( takeaway only ) What’s the point of going away ? I don’t understand why I can get my hair cut , but can’t show my members ticket and go for a wander round the 300 plus acres of the botanic garden
DdraigGoch · 20/03/2021 10:24

I'd love to get my hair cut, if only I could find somewhere with appointments sooner than a fortnight away.

I think because most of our properties are by the sea, that’s enough of a draw for people at the moment. I travel from the mountains to my office one day a week at the moment (although not for the foreseeable while there’s quite an ‘outbreak’ in that town!) and I feel like I’ve had a bloody holiday just because of the change of scenery!

Six weeks before I see mine for a dry trim I'm that desperate
Lupinhere37 · 21/03/2021 01:06

My neighbour queued for 2.5 hours on Friday, at one of the (numerous) barber shops in town. His wife was raging because she was sat in the car waitingGrin
Loads of people from England getting their haircut, apparently.

Helocariad · 21/03/2021 12:14

Booked mine in 10 days' time. Can't waitGrin

tinytemper66 · 21/03/2021 17:38

Just been down the beach for the first time since December. So lucky to have it on the doorstep and be allowed to walk on it now!

Lupinhere37 · 21/03/2021 18:31

I’d love to go to the beach @tinytemper66. I bet it was amazing!! I want a beach walk, a Mr Whippy and to just sit and watch the wavesGrin
So jealous!!

Doilooklikeatourist · 21/03/2021 18:47

We went to the beach too !
Greggs picnic , and 10,000 steps on the beach

tinytemper66 · 21/03/2021 19:06

😊

hellswelshy · 25/03/2021 10:06

And still no definite on tourism from the FM! WHY is he delaying this, I don't understand it?

WelshTonks · 25/03/2021 10:37

I really don't understand the delay on tourism. Just make a damn decision! I'm not planning on going anywhere but my parents have a break booked soon and they are desperate to get away. I'm just really hoping they'll be able to as they've already had it pushed back twice (3 times?) before. The FM is like a wet blanket! Roll on Senedd election time!

Lupinhere37 · 25/03/2021 13:55

@WelshTonks

Couldn’t agree more!

AlohaMolly · 25/03/2021 14:05

Do you think the ‘situation’ in Holyhead is causing the delay? I can’t believe he gave a date for 27th and is waiting to 26th to confirm! I wonder if it’ll be a yes to everywhere but Anglesey...

DdraigGoch · 25/03/2021 14:08

Anglesey is below 100 cases per 100k now. Perhaps Merthyr is also something to do with it, he knows that the moment that anything opens the trains to Barry Island will be packed with day trippers.

Doilooklikeatourist · 25/03/2021 15:13

@hellswelshy I think they’re considering tourism reopening today , ready for the announcement tomorrow
We filled out our postal vote requests today , ready for the elections
I’m hoping there’s an Anyone but Drakeford option

ASurfeitOfMammoths · 25/03/2021 15:46

prynhawn Da, pawb :)

Been following all the way (very gratefully!) but finally have a question, and wondered if anyone had any inside info!

Does anyone in Hywel Dda (more specifically, Llandovery way) know what’s happening with first jabs for over 50s? Cardiff & Vale put out a FB message in the last couple of days asking anyone over 50 yet to book to get it done by 29/3, implying that that population has been called - but my DP in Carmarthenshire has yet to hear a thing, and calls to the surgery to enquire aren’t being taken. Hywel Dda are openly asking people not to enquire about their second jab, but nothing about those still awaiting their first.

Anyone seen/heard anything for over 50s, please?
Diolch :)

When we come to the election, we should all write on the card "I haven't decided yet. Will let you know the day before the changeover's meant to happen."
