Have had their vaccinations today, apparently at home in Windsor Castle.

Good. Sensible to do their’s at home. Can you imagine the extra costs and logistics and security if they’d had to go to the local surgery?

Of course they were done at home. My parents are going to be done at home too in the next couple of weeks. They are almost the same age and extremely vulnerable.

Good. I love the Queen, she is ace and is more than entitled at her age. My DH’s nanna (87) is chuffed she got hers before the Queen though 😆.

Good. Surprised it wasn't sooner given their ages. Philip is nearly 100!

My 95 year old FIL has been offered his at home.

So happy to hear this!! They clearly fall into a top priority category so I’m only surprised it took this long for them to get it to be honest.

Good. I suspect though, that we are supposed to be annoyed and start ranting about a "work shy" privileged monarch who should he toppled etc etc

@RuthTopp what are your feelings about this?

I imagine they didn’t do it too early because they didn’t want it to look like they were getting preferential treatment (one rule for us etc...). With over half of over-80s vaccinated now it should just help generate good publicity and help normalise people getting the jab.

They are both ancient, so about time.
