As the title says. If someone has breach the covid restrictions that bad that they receive a notice and fine from police then why don't we have a system in which their name is recorded on some sort of database NHS etc and they are refused treatment for covid. This would free up the beds and care for those that did follow lockdown rules.
I am talking about the people constantly having house parties, going to work when they know they are positive etc.
This would probably be more of a deterrent than a fine.

@TrialOfStyle

I see OP dropped the bomb and ran.
There's a lot of that going on on here lately...
iloveeverykindofcat · 08/01/2021 10:23

4/10 weak bait, been done to death already.

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/01/2021 10:23

Considering it's only their 3rd posting, i smell a rat.

or NC

Beautiful3 · 08/01/2021 10:47

You want people to be refused medical treatment therefore die because they broke lockdown rules?! That's horrible. Drs have a duty of care to everyone, even prisoners who have murdered/raped. You want someone sho broke lockdown rules to be treated worse than a prisoner?! Horrible.

AvoidingNextdoorNeighbour · 08/01/2021 12:20

Nice idea but you can't. It's immoral. Like US healthcare. Only being treated if you meet certain criteria.

No cancer treatment for smokers (whether the cancer is smoking related or not), no diabetes treatment for people with weight issues, no treatment for people who are on drugs, heck, why not no treatment for people who hurt themselves doing risky stuff like skiing or mountain climbing?

IcedPurple · 08/01/2021 12:23

We had someone seriously suggesting that people should be paid to inform on neighbours who were having 'too many' guests at Christmas.

Now this.

You can really see the way in which totalitarian socities take hold. I'm not even joking.

LegoAndLolDolls · 08/01/2021 12:24

Why stop there? Why not just shoot them?
Dont treat the overweight, smokers, people who dont exercise for a hour a day, anyone who hasn't got a IQ of adverage or above.

Or go one step further and just shoot all of the above plus anyone who doesnt support your own political interests.

Then there would be then bonus of more beds for perfect people. Unless they are ugly of course, in which case shoot those people too....

LegoAndLolDolls · 08/01/2021 12:26

Oh and kids. Shoot all the kids as it's all their fault just by being under 21. And all 20-35 year olds

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 08/01/2021 12:39

Your a Darwin fan then?

I think Gandhi said something like "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind"

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 08/01/2021 12:46

Didn't they pay for the NHS, too?
It's a solidarity pot for all, isn't it?

user1471562688 · 08/01/2021 12:56

@AbsolutelySpiffing

Oh people are just getting fucking ridiculous now. I find this board embarrassing to read sometimes.
This. Over and Over again.

Jessica60- you are quite abhorrent and repulsive.

PicsInRed · 08/01/2021 12:56

Not a problem OP.

I'll have my tax back on the NHS contributions whilst you're at it and l'll use it to buy myself some lovely private insurance. Might actually get in to be seen then.

Privatisation by stealth, but it's your idea eh.

Lemonpiano · 08/01/2021 12:58

Don't be a dick.

Sorryusernamealreadyexists · 08/01/2021 12:59

Shall we do the same for fatties? Alcohol? If you’ve ever smoked a cigarette we had better strike you off too... no Hmm

This is my favourite answer. Grin

Bloody he'll. Is this what we have sunk to. I despair for society. Sad

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 08/01/2021 13:14

This is such a good idea. I can falsely report anyone I don’t like and then sit back and watch them die of covid because I dobbed them in for leaving the house twice.

Dahlietta · 08/01/2021 13:43

What about those poor ladies in Derbyshire fined £200 for meeting up 5 miles from home?

That was my first reaction too. What do you do when the police don't know what the law is?
MrsMiaWallis · 08/01/2021 21:21

jessica that sounds psychopathic.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 08/01/2021 21:22

Let’s just execute those who break rules shall we Biscuit

ConspicuousCustard · 08/01/2021 21:26

You are being unbelievably silly. But there's a dictatorship somewhere that could use your enthusiasm.

Funkypolar · 08/01/2021 21:26

I read another poster wrote that pregnant woman shouldn’t be offered maternity care and left to give birth on the side of a road for getting pregnant during a pandemic. People are weird.

ReplacementPlasticUterus · 08/01/2021 21:39

Have I woken up in a Kurt Vonnegut novel?
