Let me guess, you haven't seen the full explanation of that statistic? If you had, you would realise that "pre-existing conditions" includes things like eczema, having had treatment for a mental health condition, having a learning disability or autism? And don't the deaths of 60 year olds matter?

The voice of sanity is clearly a Great Barrington fan. Very few people think this is sanity. Probably on Twitter with a smiley face and KBF tag too.

Given that life is a pre-existing condition, maybe the stats should reflect that everyone who died had one?

Actually that is where lateral flow tests should come in. If more than 30 cycles are used in the PCR test than you would be considered having a low viral load. Then you should be retested a few days later to see if there are now symptoms.

Actually my husband is the barrington fan. He has taken an interest in the PCR test as he has used it in the past.(research scientist) Not for coronavirus but for other things. He says the more cycles you do you could find a positive in water. He is shocked that labs don’t have to declare cycles.

I'm getting very tired of the attempts at mind-bending, too. It doesn't work on everyone, so we see straight through the lies he expects us to believe when he bangs the table, waves his hands and repeats his three word mantras.

Maybe if he spent less time with Paul McKenna and more time listening to the experts, we really would have safe schools and not an illusion.

Actually I have seen the list of pre existing conditions. But even so the facts are that the majority of deaths have been in the eighty years olds. Tragic yes, but it does mean that the majority of children are not at risk . Obviously if you or your child are vulnerable, then you should risk assess for yourselves.

Well if borris says it’s safe they it must be. Borris always tells the truth,is a good leader,very well organised, coherent, and has handled this pandemic very well. I have totally confidence in him. I will definitely vote for borris

I agree happystone. He has said "schools are safe" lots and lots so it must be true. Just like when he denied he had a child. That was true as well. Or like when my 4 year old insisted the dog cut its own fur even though it doesnt have opposable thumbs. If he says it enough times....

Obviously if you or your child are vulnerable, then you should risk assess for yourselves.
And do what if your risk assessment tells you it isn't safe Kjc? Risk being fined if you're a parent or sacked if you're a teacher?

@Kjc39 The clinically vulnerable can assess all they like but it doesn't change the fact that they can be fined if they don't send their children to school. School staff that are clinically vulnerable themselves (or have a family member who is) are still expected in school. And no-one can completely cut themselves off from society, so the more it spreads in schools the more at risk we are whether we want it or not.

And you want to ask your husband how he explains the huge increase in cases over the last weeks and months. Does he think the labs are adding an extra cycle to the PCR test every day?

Look if it’s true that anything in your medical history would put you down as a preexisting medical condition. Then I would also go down, as I was born with a slight heart murmur. But I’m still not worried and I’m reassured by the deaths statistics.
