He said

latest study we have from Public Health England is that Covid infections among children are triggered by changes in the community rate.

We have the highest number in the country so thinking we are very likely to be on the list. Can someone tell me how long he said these schools will be closed for?

He didn't, reviewed periodically
sheworkshardforthemoney · 30/12/2020 16:59

Regarding exams

Is there no potential situation where a child may be forced to start a 10 day isolation during exam month? What is the contingency there?

Inconvenient question
Exams should definitely be cancelled

Someone asked when the closed schools on the imaginary list will go back and he said that they will be under review. So no firm return date yet.

@ReesMoggsGlasses

Just as not all teachers work with lovely compliant little children

Glad to see your in it for the love of children

This is so weird, why would stating the obvious fact that there are plenty of teachers who work with children who display very challenging behaviours mean they don't love children? Not that I trust anything coming from someone who seemingly wants to be reminded of the existence of JRM every time they look at their username...
ReesMoggsGlasses · 30/12/2020 17:02

Irony, some people just don't get it

What a stupid remark!!

I have worked in 3 schools that have failed ofstead

These children are not always at fault but yes there are a number of reasons children will not be compliant. Plenty in my school. Card for he children is often higher here as the teachers may be the only people who DO care so f*ck off!!

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 30/12/2020 17:03

@sheworkshardforthemoney apparently there is , I think i read something about extra papers being prepared but who knows what will happen , they have been so determined with exams
My ds was due to do mocks in jan when back but now delayed and he has real btech one on feb if they don' t get minimum pass they fail the whole nearly 2 year course , of which he has missed about 4/5 months of , its all bollocks now and these kids have it tougher than last years

Vinosaurus · 30/12/2020 17:03

Sorry - playing catch up, so the list of schools in very high areas that won't go back in Jan hasn't been published yet?

Hearwego · 30/12/2020 17:03

**Do your prisoners spit at you? Do they bite you? Do they climb over you to it on your knee and want cuddles? Do they constantly pull at your mask or visor? Do you have to provide personal care, nappy changes, with the only extra ppe being an apron and gloves?
All of this is a classroom with minimal ventilation other than windows that don't really bring in much air?

Yes prisoners can spit and bite prison staff. They can seriously assault staff.
Remember some prisoners are school age, young offenders are aged just 15.
Of course prison officers are fucking subject to violence and being spat at. My colleague had piss and shit thrown over them.
Don’t you dare say we are safer than school teachers.

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:07

ReesMoggsGlasses · 30/12/2020 17:08

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:09

....not the dreaded algorithm again surely...or using mock grades? if they can't sit an exam they can't sit an exam
