Link to list, it’s not copying properly.

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:14

I’ll try and screen shot the Essex areas too.

Littlebelina · 30/12/2020 17:15

mobile.twitter.com/danbloom1 has a list. Whether it's official who knows...

stovetopespresso · 30/12/2020 17:15

@Vinosaurus

Sorry - playing catch up, so the list of schools in very high areas that won't go back in Jan hasn't been published yet?
nope and Gav was taken to task about this by Kate Greemaway. do you think they're waiting on what the numbers do as there's still a few days left to work out which areas are going to be the most severely hit?
Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:18

Another version. Reports are saying 49 areas.

Gav - where are you?
ReesMoggsGlasses · 30/12/2020 17:19

This now makes his statement even worse, he applauded that majority of primaries would be opening, but looking at those lists, that's a hell of a lot of schools not opening!

squiddybear · 30/12/2020 17:20

'Covid loves a crowd'..... urm

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:21

On Twitter they are saying nurseries remain open.

Bluewavescrashing · 30/12/2020 17:21

This list could quite likely change before next week though. As in, very late in the day.

NoSuchThingAsCheese · 30/12/2020 17:27

I am surprised more areas in Herts arent on that list.

pourmeanotherglass · 30/12/2020 17:28

Can anyone clarify whether I've understood correctly? - My DDs are years 12 and 13.
Are year 13 doing online learning next week then in the w/c 11th?
And year12 have an extra week holiday then online w/c 11th and in w/c 18th?
The way they announced it isn't very clear.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 30/12/2020 17:29

It seems strange though that if the areas that are highest hit will close schools, when it's not yet safe to say how other very similar areas are going to end up after the Christmas mixing. I imagine they might not go back to school for very long.

NoSuchThingAsCheese · 30/12/2020 17:29

And.that is primaries.only yes?
So.areas on list not opening primaries.
Exam year go back f2f 11th.
Everyone else 18th.
All.must be tested before returning.
Not clear if it is online learning or extra holiday...

PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 17:30

Someone needs to ask boris and van tam, do they have children going back into high risk area classes.

SycamoreGap · 30/12/2020 17:30

@potatoesofthenight

I thought this was going to be an Archers thread.
It would be a good title!
SycamoreGap · 30/12/2020 17:31

List on the Sky News website now.

I'd like to know that too - it's definitely not clear if years that aren't going back yet will receive virtual teaching.

cptartapp · 30/12/2020 17:32

Year 11 and 13 online learning next week and back on 11th (provisionally!) I have DC in both years so was listening carefully for this.
Other years back 18th (again, provisionally). No mention of remote learning?? Unclear,

Chaotic45 · 30/12/2020 17:37

Yes, exactly that. It's absolutely not clear if non-exam years, will receive online teaching until 18th.

I can't see any reason why they shouldn't receive online teaching? Surely 2 weeks extended holiday isn't in anyone's best interests?

chimppyjamas · 30/12/2020 17:40

It's so unclear - we're on the list and I have a y8 and a y11. Any ideas what it means for when they will go back?

I don't think the lost relates to secondaries at all atm.
pourmeanotherglass · 30/12/2020 17:43

I'm hoping for online teaching or set work for year 12, as they are already behind, especially with A level art. They have been on a rota system this term, and I think art doesn't work as well remotely as some other subjects.
I'll probably hear the details from my kids school they tend to communicate more clearly than the government!

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 17:49

I agree with those saying this could change before Monday

Chaotic45 · 30/12/2020 17:56

@Ilovenewyear that's really useful except that the guidance dates today for primary schools links to a document for secondary schools dated 17 December which is clearly out of date and says all pupils back on 11th!!

To clarify, I'm really grateful for the link but it's not been updated, they really are useless!
