@Rollergirl11

So are secondary schools starting on 18th Jan with home-schooling next week or do they have an extra two weeks holiday?
Not a clue. I've rewound the speech several times and I'm still not clear.
JamieLeesCurtains · 30/12/2020 16:37

I think he's rattled from just having had a massive row with someone.

Mxflamingnoravera · 30/12/2020 16:38

Ha ha the Twitter list!

PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 16:38

A unique environment??

NoGoodPunsLeft · 30/12/2020 16:38

@Passmeabottlemrjones

What do we want?

The list of Tier 4 areas in which schools will not be opening in line with the rest of the country!

When do we want it?

NOW!

This actually made me chuckle, thank you Smile
PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 16:38

18th for secondary I think.

Hearwego · 30/12/2020 16:39

**Is this real life? I can’t see my two parents for one day at Christmas but I can teach 30 children for 6 hours a day with two adults in my room who are older than my parents. Really?

But what would you like to happen? I’m a Prison Officer and have to work with 40 prisoners on my department for 10 hours a day and other staff.
DP has to work in a supermarket where people don’t social distance and and serve hundreds of random strangers everyday, having no idea who has covid or not.
Are we less important than teachers?

Chaotic45 · 30/12/2020 16:39

@PandemicPavolova

I'm flummoxed that no one cares about the short term necessity of keeping dc safe in the context of melt down of hospital?
Are you saying you think they are safer and less likely to need hospital care out of school!
Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 30/12/2020 16:40

Absolutely fucking ridiculous. This government is simply incapable of making decisions until everything has gone to shit. And even then they don't go far enough.

Ilovenewyear · 30/12/2020 16:40

@EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest!

@Beepbopadooda they didn’t do cherry when I used to drink it

But you wear PPE though, no?
KylieKangaroo · 30/12/2020 16:41

@hearwego agreed!

toobusytothink · 30/12/2020 16:42

And yet teachers not entitled to the vaccine!!!

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 30/12/2020 16:42

Where are you watching this?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 30/12/2020 16:42

It says on the Sky news live feed the list will be published later today, so I'm guessing 23:59 Xmas Hmm

Gav - where are you?

Agreed, my husband works in a tenuously non essential retail and he and his staffed have worked all the way through, exposed exponentially to hundreds of people a day. Meaning all my WFH and children isolating meant nothing as he brought the illness home.

Nobody has given one lot for his kind, and they are many.

Do your prisoners wear face masks and socially distance? My 5 year olds are literally on top of me with snot and coughs. I have zero protection. My classroom is tiny. People in supermarkets wear face masks and fleeting pass by the staff.
SilverOtter · 30/12/2020 16:43

@Indecisive12

Poor Matt 😂 I can totally picture that, he also looks like he likes a finger up the bum too
🤣🤣🤣 I was sniggering at the 'crying after sex' but now I've totally lost it!
PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 16:44

Yes because at home, it's highly unlikely we will catch covid and suffer, dd has breathing issues but not classified as asthmatic.

It's unlikely she will catch colds and coughs of friends at school or her sibling...

Then for any other issues... The more people who catch covid and need hospital resources means other people don't get those services.

Granny falls, no ambulance etc.

I'm flummoxed that no one mentioning the back drop of no medical help?

My PPE consist of a face mask. Nothing else.

Herewego - ignore those who think they trumped you as they're teachers, they simply don't
DinosaurDildo · 30/12/2020 16:46

I just cannot for the life of me get the image of Matt Hancock crying after sex, out of my head.

Why does this image I hold feel scarily accurate?

Olympicfan · 30/12/2020 16:46

How many teachers have been hospitalised or passed away with covid? I am a teacher is a tier 4 area and we have only had one covid case in my school.
Bus drivers, NHS workers etc seem to have been more affected than teachers. I hope my primary opens as normal.

namesnamesnamesnames · 30/12/2020 16:46

The problem also is that headteachers will also be finding out along with us. They won't currently know any more. So hard for them.

justanotherneighinparadise · 30/12/2020 16:46

Where do we think the list will appear?
