3/4 of the country are going into tier 4. I believe it is absolutely necessary.

LJRT · 30/12/2020 15:17

Where do you live. Do you know what Lincolnshire is

stackemhigh · 30/12/2020 15:18

Hi, what’s happened? I thought shops were going to re-open today? Has there been a further review?

coldwaterfeed · 30/12/2020 15:18

@LJRT

Where do you live. Do you know what Lincolnshire is
Is it a sausage?
NoGoodPunsLeft · 30/12/2020 15:19

Lincolnshire is in too

Coasterfan · 30/12/2020 15:19

@LJRT looks like whole of the Midlands and north east to tier 4, I think Lincolnshire comes under Midlands?

Lifeispassingby · 30/12/2020 15:19

Everyone isn’t in tier 3 or 4 now, almost all of previous tier 3 is moving to tier 4

Lifeispassingby · 30/12/2020 15:20

Sorry everyone is in tier 3 or 4

thepeopleversuswork · 30/12/2020 15:20

what do you expect? Seriously....

Spanglebangle · 30/12/2020 15:23

Those links do not have the updated areas on them yet.

girlcrushonvillanelle · 30/12/2020 15:23

They really need to put us in full lockdown.

I am in Cornwall which is currently in Tier 2, but the rates are going up and up! All this does is allows our numbers to continue to rocket, and then when people have died then they might actually do something!

I'm fuming!!

unicornparty · 30/12/2020 15:23

It was expected. You can't be surprised?

november90 · 30/12/2020 15:24

I'm in Lancashire. We've been in local lockdowns since august :( out rates are below average in our tier so it's very frustrating! I just hope nursery's and primary schools can stay open safely!

These have the updates in the text.

Redbrickwall · 30/12/2020 15:25

@girlcrushonvillanelle
Tier 4 is pretty much lockdown. How do you propose people survive if they can’t work from home and can’t claim furlough etc?
Full lock down is pretty much middle classes staying at home whilst poor people bring them stuff

QueenOfLabradors · 30/12/2020 15:26

Actually I desperately want to be moved out of Tier Two and into Tier Four. Tier Four is only a couple of miles away, and loads of people are undoubtedly coming over the border to shop in our open shops and drink (with a scotch egg...) in our open pubs.

SueEllenMishke · 30/12/2020 15:27

It's a fucking joke.
Numbers in my wider area have decreased significantly over the last month and stayed down. We haven't seen an increase in hospital admissions either.
My immediate area ( of nearly 10,000 people ) has had 4 cases in the last 7 days which has remained steady for months.... but apparently we warrant tier 4.

I'm furious and so sad for all our local businesses who won't survive.

WwMILd · 30/12/2020 15:29

new tiers from tomorrow

Lifeispassingby · 30/12/2020 15:30

@SueEllenMishke what area are you in? Are you looking at your local area or your county as a whole?

LadyPenelope68 · 30/12/2020 15:30

I’m in Yorkshire which is Tier 3, our rates have been rising dramatically, yet, on checking the Government website just now, we are the only area that is currently in Tier 3 that hasn’t been moved to Tier 4! Makes no sense whatever.

Cantstandsmugness · 30/12/2020 15:30

@redbrickwall. I absolutely love your analogy of Full lock down. It is sooo true and has brought the first smile to my face today. It’s so hard for some of us isn’t it. Thank you.

lljkk · 30/12/2020 15:30

Poor Leicester. How in the world are their businesses coping?

SideboardOfDoom · 30/12/2020 15:31

78% of the population are in Tier 4, it’s clearly the place to be.

To be honest, I can’t get worked up. It is what it is. I’ll just press on.
