None

kazza446 · 22/12/2020 17:53

Too many. 2 work colleagues lost their fathers to it within a week of each other. My friends mum died Saturday after battling it for a few months. My husband, children and I had it October. At least 9 other people I know have also had it.

Greysparkles · 22/12/2020 17:55

Currently, my mum, dad and brother.
My mil & father in law
My neighbour
Multiple school friends and teachers plus family's at my sons school

The 200 people currently admitted in the hospital I work at.

Can you tell im in a tier 4 area?!

Melange99 · 26/12/2020 10:20

Still none, tier 4

Vanillaradio · 26/12/2020 13:04

Dh and I have had it. 2 others from dh work. My cousin and his wife. Most of the ks2 teachers at ds's school. One girl in ds's class, her parents and brother. A few other kids in the school have had it too, and at least one of the parents (don't know how many). One of dm's friends, who died (already terminally ill). Dh's friend's dad died of it.

Nonamesavail · 26/12/2020 13:07

@Melange99

Still none, tier 4
Same

All young and healthy so recovered, and didn't need hospitalisation but at least 2 with long lasting fatigue.
(which is what I'm most scared of).
I'm in the worst area of the country and Tier 4.

NotTerfNorCis · 26/12/2020 13:42

1 colleague (Nottingham). One daughter of a different colleague (Liverpool).

KnowingMeKnowingYule · 26/12/2020 13:45

Since Christmas Eve I've learnt about another 4 cases.

Scottishgirl85 · 26/12/2020 14:05

Literally lost count - a lot!
But only 3 that were serious - but they are only late 30s, no underlying health conditions...

Aramox · 26/12/2020 14:12

15-20. Three dead, all with underlying conditions. At least 4 with longer effects.

TheCrystalShip · 26/12/2020 14:19

Two of my work colleagues tested positive back at the start. Both very mild cases. Since then I personally don't know anyone.

HelloMissus · 26/12/2020 14:21

Lots - I have two students so they and all their mates have had it (virtually all without symptoms).

Also lots of my family got it as a number work together and passed it along to one another. Some no symptoms (including 71 yr old) some poorly but now recovered. One still struggling a few weeks later.

DBML · 26/12/2020 14:22

From March to September- no one

From September to November - a small handful of people.

From November to now - hundreds. I work in a badly affected school in South Wales. We had lots of children testing positive, lots of staff and now my own family and I.

FourTeaFallOut · 26/12/2020 14:25

It's like mice, once you see one up close in the house you're already infested.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 26/12/2020 14:31

dozens. I work in the NHS (but not COVID related) in one of the OG Tier 3 areas, so mostly colleagues who've been out at work all through all of the lockdowns. Outbreak at DC2's school in September as well, which closed the school as two thirds of the staff were affected. I've only know one person to be hospitalised, but several who were really poorly at home, as well as a few with mild symptoms only.

fluffiphlox · 26/12/2020 14:34

Three - all in March and all working in London. Since then nobody.

EmmaGellerGreen · 26/12/2020 15:41
  1. 4 from one family, 2 from another. All fully recovered within 10 days.
Porcupineintherough · 26/12/2020 17:58

Cant believe how few people some of you know Xmas Shock There are 6 on our street just this week.

Luckypoppy · 26/12/2020 18:18

Over 50 I've known personally and 4 deaths of people I know and more of friends of friends.

WalkingOnStarshine · 26/12/2020 18:39

I don't know of anyone who has had it.

UntamedWisteria · 26/12/2020 19:16

DS, DS's GF, 2 of his mates - all got it in Greece at the end of the summer. We are in Tier 2 (now - always had low rates, rural area).

Since then no-one close until a week ago. Then 3 people I know quite well, a colleague, a member of my extended family, and a member of DH's extended family. Different parts of the country.

The rate seems to be accelerating if my experience is anything to go by.

ginforall · 26/12/2020 20:38

I'm a secondary school teacher, just counted up; 15 colleagues (at least, quite a few others were off having tests just before Christmas so could now be more), 7 students who I have taught, and around 20 (maybe more) other students at my school who I don't teach.

Outside of school, no one.

GoldenLabbie · 26/12/2020 23:08

5 confirmed cases. But I know a lot of people who think they had it earlier in the year before testing so don’t know for sure.
