TheGreatWave · 20/12/2020 20:36

2 colleagues.

Umm a few more through work.

MillieEpple · 20/12/2020 20:36
  1. 2 sadly died.
isurvived3under2 · 20/12/2020 20:36

7-8 whom I know personally, including a close family member who has just died after being intubated for a while.

ivykaty44 · 20/12/2020 20:36

So total 6

vickibee · 20/12/2020 20:37

None and we live in a tier 3 area where cases have been high.

Spacemonkey2016 · 20/12/2020 20:37
  1. SIL and 3 nieces. The children (all teenagers) are completely fine but SIL, who is otherwise healthy, slim, mid 30s is really struggling.
SusannahSophia · 20/12/2020 20:37

Gosh, about 50. We’re in a low case rate area as well. I only know of 2 who have died.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 20/12/2020 20:37

None. Not a single one.

ivykaty44 · 20/12/2020 20:37

I live in tier 3 with low cases
But still 6 altogether and one dead

bloodywhitecat · 20/12/2020 20:37
  1. I don't know anyone who has had it but I do know of 3 people diagnosed with terminal cancer in the same period.
daisypond · 20/12/2020 20:38

Personally, eight. Four were in ICU. Three died. All in different parts of the country.

Cotswoldmama · 20/12/2020 20:38

0 I'm pretty sure my DH and I had it and therefore our boys too but we weren't tested as it was very early on in the pandemic.

tootyfruitypickle · 20/12/2020 20:39
  1. SE and very worried about 2021
yearinyearout · 20/12/2020 20:39

Depends what you mean by "know". My sister had it recently, I know a few who had all the classic symptoms in March before testing, plus two extended families in our town (where I know one or two family members) that all had it recently so probably 30 odd altogether.

notsodimwit · 20/12/2020 20:40

North Yorkshire here..2 people and they are ok now.

Bagelsandbrie · 20/12/2020 20:40

None at all. (South Norfolk).

lavenderlou · 20/12/2020 20:40

Quite a lot. Four colleagues (primary school), 6 parents from my school, two teacher friends who had it earlier in the year, three local friends who currently have it. Also know of about 30 staff at DH's (secondary) school who've had it.

Purplethrow · 20/12/2020 20:40

15
2 friends have died
My sister, 2 nieces and one of their partners
Friends mum
8 work colleagues, one gravely ill in hospital.

JamesCracknelsBugle · 20/12/2020 20:40

2 died.
10+ positive cases.
4 children.
I child with permanent internal organ damage.

I work in a school.

Bumsnet2021 · 20/12/2020 20:41

@canyon2000

0 - I don't know anyone that has had Covid.
You don't know anyone who has tested positive.

Two very different things.

jenniuol · 20/12/2020 20:42

None.

Gah81 · 20/12/2020 20:42

6 direct friends/colleagues/relatives. Quite a few friends of friends (my best friend is a teacher and so many of her colleagues have had it).

DrizzleandDamp · 20/12/2020 20:42

12

1 died
1 hospitalised but now fine (both with underlying issues, 1 very old)

The rest mild

Including my ex FIL who still makes me angry because we thought he’d be in serious trouble, 80s has Parkinson’s, diabetes and was 2 weeks post heart op. Covid didn’t make him very ill but he fell at home with it, had damaged hip and ribs but they wouldn’t allow him in the hospital to be treated for it so was left at home in pain. A GP friend treated off the books which could have got them in serious trouble but the fall injuries could have killed him faster than Covid.

ConnectFortyFour · 20/12/2020 20:43

Personally known to me about 12, none seriously ill. Many more friends of friends but lost count of those

lockdownbreakdown · 20/12/2020 20:43

About 6. Five fine and one has long covid. All in their 30s and 40s.
