Thank you esksmith. My FIL passed away this afternoon. At least he doesn't have to fight any more

HarrietOh · 21/12/2020 18:26

Me and a handful of others. No one very ill, some just loss of smell, I had a headache.

louisejxxx · 21/12/2020 18:28

4 - 1 who is a nurse and has suffered from long covid (still signed off from work 7 months later) and 3 who I play hockey with. I also know of a couple of people who have had it but didn’t realise and tested positive for antigens after.

Lolalabella · 21/12/2020 18:30

None. Three tested , all negative . I'm living in a tier 4 area .

Smileyoriley · 21/12/2020 19:58

Two- a friend’s elderly mother who sadly died and a relative in London who had it in March

Crazycatlady83 · 21/12/2020 20:02

I do know a couple of people who have had the vaccine though!

Roselilly36 · 21/12/2020 20:03

1 health care worker

wantmorenow · 21/12/2020 20:07

4 this week alone. My DPs adult children plus partner of one of them us his ex wife. Lost count of rest 20-30 I guess. 1 death.

CoodleMoodle · 21/12/2020 20:11

0 friends, family or acquaintances.

Only person I vaguely know is one of the teacher's at DD's school. He teaches the other Y2 class. There was also a case that got both Y2 classes sent home for 2 weeks but that was someone in the other class as well, and DD's class had to isolate that time. Don't know who it was, assume a staff member who has contact with both classes.

Arnoldthecat · 21/12/2020 20:11

none that i personally know. Only second hand gossip.. I'm an essential/key worker.

iolaus · 21/12/2020 20:12

Of the top of my head
2 colleagues currently positive
4 colleagues who have got over it (6)
DH's friend, his wife and their daughter (9)
DH's friend (10 - ended up in ITU, two of his sisters died)
My cousin (11 - died)
Daughter's friend and her stepdad (13)
University Lecturer (14- died)
Neighbour and 2 of her kids (17)

Plus I'd say another 20-30 pregnant women (I'm a midwife) and a few emails about staff in the health board dying
And several more that I know of - and most of the ones I know of are the ones who have died - DH's friend's grandmother, a colleagues grandmother (her father and uncle also both tested positive), another colleagues MIL (ended up on a ventilator but survived) and her sister (was fine), nurse in the GP surgery and her mother (both died within 2 days of each other leaving a 14 year old)

TheySeeHerRowling · 21/12/2020 20:13

2 - a cousin (primary school teacher) and a friend of dd2

kimmy121 · 21/12/2020 20:13

Loads. Lost count. Stopped counting when my nan died recently and my grandfather was taken into hospital. Still there now and I've never been so worried in my life.

And now my husband has it. Yay.

Covid hotspot in our town.

MamaDane · 21/12/2020 20:15

5 in my family.

nuitdesetoiles · 21/12/2020 20:17

Few friends, very mild. Few colleagues mainly fatigue as the main symptom. I live in Manchester next to a "hotspot" and work in frontline healthcare. My personal experience of this doesn't fit the media narrative.

cleanasawhistle · 21/12/2020 20:19

1 and he died in March

Lucylivesinamushroomhouse · 21/12/2020 20:24

6 confirmed cases, probably about 20 or so in the first wave, not tested. Mostly fairly mild, no one hospitalised.

DigitalGhost · 21/12/2020 20:28

4 family members confirmed cases all fine varying ages from 21-50
Also my brother caught it and didn't notice, only confirmed by antibody test.
I think I had it in April before testing was as big as I completely lost my smell and taste. I was 9 month pregnant at the time too.
I know of two people who have died they were friends grandparents and both 90+ with dementia.

IndiaMay · 21/12/2020 20:29

Officially tested positive: 9
Pretty sure they had it in the first lockdown but couldnt get a test: 4
Someone who antibodies but no symptoms: 1
1 of the tested positive people was in hospital for a week but has severe asthma. Everyone else was either asymptomatic or a bad cold. Dont know anyone who has been very poorly at all.

Taffyapple8 · 21/12/2020 20:30

Over 40, including myself. 12 out of 20 of my closest family caught it at my grandad's funeral recently. We all adhered to the rules and our bubbles..

Winditbackagain · 21/12/2020 20:32

More than five,
One died, one was hospitalised and the others recovered.

FrancesHaHa · 21/12/2020 20:32

About 30, including us.

About 10 people at work, including one who has long COVID. Otherwise friends, 3 of DDs teachers etc.

It's actually surprising it's not more given we have lots of friends who work in hospitals and have worked out in the community throughout

willsantausesantatize · 21/12/2020 20:33

3 and they all died.
10 at school ( although I didn't know them)
and they are all fine.

TheDinosaurTrain · 21/12/2020 20:37

Hundreds, I stopped counting a long time ago (NW England). We’ve had 17 covid funerals from our church congregation alone Sad there will be a lot of empty spaces when we finally resume services in person

S111n20 · 21/12/2020 20:39
  1. Both fine now.
