Just that really.

Have been sensible, followed the rules, looking forward to a simple Christmas with us and dm who lives alone 200 miles away.

Have seen quite a few definite non household groups doing what they want, meals out indoors etc and of course they will have met up with who they want to over the last few weeks and will still probably moan about the restrictions or just ignore them.

OP posts:

If you're going to play the blame game OP, maybe blame the utterly incompetent government who implement rules that make no sense. Also, if you have been following the rules to the letter and you get the virus, how do you reckon that will have happened???? Who will you blame then??? Use your common sense, the virus doesn't adhere to Boris's rules, it is a virus, it does what a virus does.

@BlueJackel that's out of date data because I teach in that authority and our school had more than 19 student cases in the past 14 days. I also know anecdotally of 3 cases in another school in the authority.

It most definitely is schools driving it where I live.

Bluethrough · 20/12/2020 08:38

@Sunshiney1981

And please stop the pathetic blame game.

Viruses spread! Schools, universities, colleges, workplaces, hospitals, shops, public transport..... unless we go into full hardcore lockdown again it’ll spread.

He gave T4 areas 8 hours notice, people used that to legally pack the roads and trains out of London.

Sheer stupidity... not by these people but by Johnson, zero need to give any notice - what did he think would happen????

His actions have once again helped along the spread of this virus, its almost as if he is wedded to Herd Immunity.

Have Bojo and chums never watched any disaster movie ever? People always try to flee the city in the face of impending doom.

Justa47 · 20/12/2020 08:46

@musicalfrog
I am talking tier 4 by the way as per the tier four rules I listed.

Justa47 · 20/12/2020 08:47

@Bluethrough

Correct he could have said travel as of now

DailyPotion · 20/12/2020 08:48

It's horrible the way people want to lay blame.

I am currently positive and as a result, so is my cancer suffering husband. You don't think I feel bad enough about that already?

I absolutely promise you I have followed every single rule and taken all the recommended precautions.

For goodness sake! The tiers make NO DIFFERENCE to support bubbles. They are sacrosanct. Stop putting doubt out there when there is no need.

It's not difficult to find this information. People guessing on a public forum is starting to really piss me off.

We are all Marina Wheeler now.

The posters who blather on about mask wearers really make me laugh. The vast majority are wearing masks - they quite clearly don't work because look at the rate of infection! Yet they still thrive on blaming Dave at the petrol station who didn't have one on. Sad.

Lastdanceagain · 20/12/2020 10:29

Here we go, another sanctimonious post about "others" breaking the rules, when the vast majority of transmission is from people doing things that are allowed.

My BF is in a support bubble with her elderly dad who has stage 4 heart failure, she has been meticulous in following the rules, but someone tested positive at her husband's workplace, now both she and her DH are positive.

But go ahead, keep castigating people if it makes you feel better.

DianaT1969 · 20/12/2020 11:03

OP, have you ordered anything online lately? Sent anything by post? Bought anything in the shops? How do you think all those things got to you? Thousands of workers in warehouses, driving HGVs up and down the country, local van drivers. Some using public transport 😱. The horror of it!
Even during Covid, your bins are emptied, you have electricity, running water and broadband. How do you think this miraculously happens without people leaving their homes.
Thousands will arrive in the UK by plane and disperse all over the country today. Because the UK allows it. But you sit in your home writing this shit on the internet about "faceless and nameless strangers who are to blame." Your post demonstrates your ignorance.

Popcornriver · 20/12/2020 13:49

That is what a virus does. Humans will never stop that.

Nobody said they could but from my very limited knowledge of viruses, I thought the more opportunity to spread and reproduce means a higher chance of mutation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Bollss · 20/12/2020 13:51

The "few" haven't ruined it. The virus has ruined it and the government have ruined it. Do you honestly believe the restrictions and the new strain are down to a few rule breakers? Really?
