How many cases in your primary school?

This really. Since September, how many bubbles/year groups were asked to self isolate due to positive cases in your primary?
We had nearly each year group isolating once.

0 in DS primary school (420 ish kids), 0 in DH secondary, (2200 kids) and 0 in staff at either.

Wallabyone · 15/12/2020 21:00

We've had none, up until last week when two married teachers tested positive; this caused such a large proportion to isolate that it was no longer safe to keep school open.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 15/12/2020 21:00

Every year in primary school have isolated once. A couple of years have isolated twice (Year 1 & 5 I think).

boymum9 · 15/12/2020 21:01

There's been 3 cases that we've been alerted of where classes have had to isolate, out of a large primary school (around 650). But there hasn't been any cases since October. I'm in a tier 3 area

MarshaBradyo · 15/12/2020 21:02

Primary - 1 class due to one positive

hazelnutlatte · 15/12/2020 21:02

None in our small village primary school, a miracle really when half of the parents work at the college down the road which has had loads of cases

Tomliboosrule · 15/12/2020 21:03

No cases or isolations - around 400 children.

PaperMonster · 15/12/2020 21:04

1 in a small village school.

Cupidity · 15/12/2020 21:04

Currently year 4&6 are isolating. The whole of KS1 has shut as there are not enough teachers/staff available. The only year group still in school are 3&5 (year 5 have just returned from isolation this week)

HailFairy · 15/12/2020 21:05

None so far. Frantically touches wood.

Everything crossed we make it to the end of term.

We’re the only local primary not to have any (inner city). The closest one was pretty much fully shut for almost 3 weeks just after half term.

DrunkenKoala · 15/12/2020 21:05

The whole primary school have had five lots of isolation over three year groups.

ShowOfHands · 15/12/2020 21:06

DS tested positive (y4) and his year had to isolate for a week.

No other positive tests.

Jamrollypollymnolly · 15/12/2020 21:06

Whole primary school closed for two weeks we had overlapping isolations of three weeks with two children. Secondary has cases in all year groups. One year group closed.

museumum · 15/12/2020 21:06

Two classes have isolated due to one teacher who taught both (a p3 class and a p5 class). None of the kids got symptoms.

Anotherunimaginativeusername · 15/12/2020 21:07

3 form entry infant school - 3 classes in different years out at different times. At least one of which was picked up through the govt screening programme, so was asymptomatic.

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 15/12/2020 21:07

None at all (approx 630 children).

borageforager · 15/12/2020 21:07

0, school of about 175 kids.

Splann · 15/12/2020 21:08

None. But it’s a tiny rural primary school at the far extremes of Tier 1.

HamSandwichKiller · 15/12/2020 21:08

No cases in my son's primary school with 600+ pupils.
Probably sheer luck as cases in South Wales are increasing quickly.

HollyBen · 15/12/2020 21:08

1 positive case which lead to 1 class in our Primary school

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 15/12/2020 21:09

1 class out of 16.
Other local Primarys (within a mile area) have had 1/8 and 1/8. The fourth school currently has 13/16 classes isolating.

Scumble · 15/12/2020 21:10

Small rural school

WhenAWrenVisits · 15/12/2020 21:10

DC1s Primary school. 0 cases all term hurray!

chloworm · 15/12/2020 21:11

None in rural tier 3 primary

Covidnomore · 15/12/2020 21:11

1 staff member but was not in school 48 hrs before symptoms so no isolation. That was September I think. Nothing since then.
