How many cases in your primary school?

This really. Since September, how many bubbles/year groups were asked to self isolate due to positive cases in your primary?
We had nearly each year group isolating once.

1 case last week, so one class out (1 form entry school)

Fishfingersandwichplease · 15/12/2020 21:25

None until last week then all of a sudden there were about 20 cases across all year groups bar 2

33goingon64 · 15/12/2020 21:26

None. Hertfordshire.

Attictroll · 15/12/2020 21:27

Primary London - 1 bubble class burst due to the teacher getting it. No children seemed to get it. Many have isolated awaiting test results but no positives.

bangwhistle · 15/12/2020 21:27

We had nothing until the end of last week and now reception and year 4 are all out until 21st. 4 form entry so massive primary school and that's 240 kids in the local area isolating. Parents all freaking out here. Me, mostly because I can't face Christmas trapped indoors. We're in tier three, but cases had really dropped off and we've not had many the whole time, so this is new and scary ground.

Pipandmum · 15/12/2020 21:28

Uh testing machine!

Waterdropsdown · 15/12/2020 21:28

Primary school with nursery in zone 3 london. 2 form entry.
1 positive child, not sure which year group and who isolated. Was about a month ago.

mamaduckbone · 15/12/2020 21:28

None in the village primary I work in.
Dc's secondary have had a handful (2 in ds1's year, 1 in ds2's) but no close contacts so they have been in school since September (East Midlands)

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 15/12/2020 21:30

We had none before October. The Head decided to make single class bubbles from October half term, which was definitely a good move as we’ve had a case in four separate class bubbles since then. No transmission within the classs/bubbles

We’re tier 3

starfish4 · 15/12/2020 21:32

500 children, originally tier 1 area. So far one four children in different years, it's suspected one caught it from member of staff and there was onward transmission to community.

Irre247 · 15/12/2020 21:32

4 x bubbles closed over the term, one the same year group twice. 2 x staff 2 x pupil positives.

In the LA, every primary has had at least one positive case and subsequent closure.

Frazzled2207 · 15/12/2020 21:32

1 so far all term although I know of several families who have been ill with covid and kept children off. Tier 3 area.

However most schools round here have had something between several and loads and quite a few children have been off twice if not three times. One primary has been closed completely at least twice due to too many poorly staff. Secondary school is struggling big time.

maureenfrombarnsley · 15/12/2020 21:34

2 confirmed cases at ours. None since September. T3 area.

Shmithecat2 · 15/12/2020 21:34
  1. Tiny (40> pupils) rural primary school.
Shmithecat2 · 15/12/2020 21:35

We're Tier 3. Thanks mainly to students in the county uni who can't keep their bloody distance.

MrsMariaReynolds · 15/12/2020 21:40

We had 1 case up until last week-- when things escalated quickly. By Friday, we had 12 (mostly staff). School has gone remote for this week (with an additional 4 cases reported))

NorthernChinchilla · 15/12/2020 21:42

3 form of entry infants had 4 of the 9 groups out, lots of teachers, and so closed last week (9th?) till Jan 4th. DC was in 3rd SI at the time, though one of those was from the after school club.
3 form of entry juniors wasn't doing too badly, until today when all of Yr 3 was told to SI.
In one of the worst hit parts of Kent....

ginsparkles · 15/12/2020 21:42

None. Small rural primary

Iggly · 15/12/2020 21:44

I think we’ve had reception, year 4 and 5 isolate. 5 staff members and god knows how many kids have been positive. I suspect more asymptomatic cases too.

justkeepmoving11 · 15/12/2020 21:45

One year in had to isolate due to one positive test - city primary of 420 pupils with high rate of covid in the area.

happytoday73 · 15/12/2020 21:45

G Manchester so tier 3 or equivalent for like forever....
Nursery and 1 junior class... 3 cases in total since Sept...

Millie2013 · 15/12/2020 21:45

Two cases amongst staff, one required a small number of children to isolate, the latest, a bubble of 30
Primary aged, 200ish students. Tier 2, but on the edge of a Tier 3 conurbation

Scarlett1251 · 15/12/2020 21:46

None until November, then it started to rise rapidly in Kent. I think 5-6 classes have had to isolate since then. Who knows how many more are in school asymptomatic. I think our area has about 800 current cases per 100,000 right now.

carcarbinks · 15/12/2020 21:50

Cases are rising rapidly here. Several primary schools are closed. There have been a few cases over the term in DCs secondary school but today nearly 900 children are self isolating, A number of cases in every year group except one.

indemMUND · 15/12/2020 21:51

2 cases in 2 different year groups since September. I've seen that several parents of kids in my DD's year have had the virus (on social media), then quickly deleted their posts. One was the subject of an email from the school as they'd sent the child in while waiting for test results then came to collect child during the day as they'd received a positive result. Parents were reminded that households waiting for a result should isolate. Child developed it within a few days but no close contacts were told to isolate. People aren't being honest and it takes the piss.
