How many cases in your primary school?

This really. Since September, how many bubbles/year groups were asked to self isolate due to positive cases in your primary?
We had nearly each year group isolating once.

650ish pupils at a Greater London primary. 4 or 5 classes have had to isolate - but they're bubbling by class rather than by year so it's 30 children at a time, not 90.

holyshitdude · 15/12/2020 21:12

Primary 0 cases in school of 400, high school ds has had to isolate 3 times in a school of 80.

SandyStarfish · 15/12/2020 21:12

We've had 7 children positive and 5 staff members. Spread happened in 3 classes. We've had one year group isolate 3 times, and 3 year groups isolate once each. There are 150 children in our school. We are rural.

Todayisgood2 · 15/12/2020 21:12

Teacher- I'm isolating again, 3 separate cases in my class of 12 so far. 5 classes isolating at moment due to 2 different cases in last week ....

AuthorsOfForever · 15/12/2020 21:13

My son changed schools recently. But his original school had 2 separate cases, not his year group. And his new school has had none as far as I'm aware.

QuantumJump · 15/12/2020 21:13

No cases all term at my DC's primary school (tier 2).

MarcelineMissouri · 15/12/2020 21:13

2 teachers positive, no cases amongst the children. 1 year group out for 2 weeks due to those 2 staff cases.

Primary in the West Midlands, 450 pupils.

InDireStraits · 15/12/2020 21:13

4 isolation periods affecting 3 years (1 year isolated twice). Two form entry but both classes count as a bubble so 60+ kids isolated for each period. All but one case has been teachers

mac12 · 15/12/2020 21:13

30+ kids & staff so whole school of 300 had to close. None since reopening, fingers crossed 🤞 We had high local infection at the time but it’s come down a lot, really hope Christmas doesn’t kick it all off again in January.

Dotinthecity · 15/12/2020 21:15

Zero in our primary school and zero in the 5 other primary schools in our local area.

Needingsupportplease · 15/12/2020 21:15

2 one teacher and one child on separate occasions but lots of children off isolating been in contact/living with a family member who was positive.

Deliaskis · 15/12/2020 21:15

None. 100 pupils, tier 2, NW Cheshire.

1 teacher isolated after being contacted by T&T.

NuttyinNotts · 15/12/2020 21:15
  1. 2 cases very spread out last half term and then two cases that PHE say aren't connected to each other this Monday.
IncidentsandAccidents · 15/12/2020 21:16

1 case in village primary (now in tier 3).

funfunfunfunfun · 15/12/2020 21:16

Primary school, every bubble has isolated once.

Littleguggi · 15/12/2020 21:16

Elzbells · 15/12/2020 21:17

Dartsplayer · 15/12/2020 21:17

Large primary - 1 year group once back at the beginning of October

clopper · 15/12/2020 21:17

1 class twice 1 child positive and 1 teacher. Inner city school of 300.

Dee1975 · 15/12/2020 21:20

Just one bubble. Fairly large primary of @330 kids.

BigBaublesGalore · 15/12/2020 21:20

4 this week in secondary school leading to one whole year isolating and a few in another year... 1 in primary so one class isolating

All parents freaking out about Christmas and being able to see relatives so the schools are pretty much empty with parents keeping kids off... ds class has gone from 20 to 9 kids and that's without any positive cases in his year

Pipandmum · 15/12/2020 21:20

The junior school is part of the senior school. One case, a few kids isolated, all back and fine. Same in senior school. Our school also has a rapid texting machine.

CountFosco · 15/12/2020 21:22

I thought schools have been told not to tell parents? DS (Y3) has been at school all the way through (we're Tier 3), we've not been told about any cases officially. Our secondary school is still telling us when there are cases, every year has had at least 1 case, 2 years have had the entire year sent home for 2 weeks. We've been lucky and only had 1 isolation, DD1 has been at school all the way through.

Theotherrudolph · 15/12/2020 21:22

Tier 2, fairly low case area. One child case caused one out of the seven classes to close for a fortnight just after half term. The odd child has had to isolate for symptoms for a few days awaiting a test. Otherwise very good attendance here until this week where it has fallen off a bit, mainly it seems from parents wanting to isolate ahead of Christmas.

youhavebrainsinyourhead · 15/12/2020 21:23

Primary school - none
Secondary school - DC had to isolate twice as has been a close contact - they have set seating plans in each class and only those within 1m of the positive case get sent home.
