How many cases in your primary school?

This really. Since September, how many bubbles/year groups were asked to self isolate due to positive cases in your primary?
We had nearly each year group isolating once.

London primary - no cases this term until yesterday, then our first year bubble burst. But other local primaries have had more.

Small primary school in Tier 3 area.
I class per year group.

Nothing until after half term but since then every single class has had to isolate, some of them now on their 2nd lot of isolation.

Tier 3, 2 cases this week in different classes, they’re the first cases since they reopened in September. Around 300 pupils.

autumnboys · 16/12/2020 07:35

None at the primary. (420)
About 5 at the secondary, 4 pupils, 1 staff. (1500 kids)
1 case at the 6th form, although the child in question hadn’t been in during the contagious period, so no one needed to isolate. (About 3,000 students)

Very hopeful that this means we’ll get through the next three days with no problem, but have got an emergency turkey in the freezer in case we get ‘the call’ after the end of term.

Tier 3 primary, 3 cases so far. Not affected my child's bubble. Tier 3 secondary, far more cases and my child has been out isolating once so far. Another local primary has had over 20 cases and is currently closed though, so I have my fingers firmly crossed we get through today and tomorrow without any further cases.

OliveTree75 · 16/12/2020 07:39

Tier 3. 1 child and 1 member of staff. Both before half term, didnt effect my kids thankfully. School fully open since. Fingers crossed for the rest of the week!

London primary school - we’ve had only two classes having to isolate out of 24, since September. Very lucky - but then lots of people were ill here in March so who knows...

Poorlykitten · 16/12/2020 07:56

None.

Angel2702 · 16/12/2020 09:12

2 or possibly 3 since September.

7 teachers in the our school and only 1 childConfused

MilyMoo · 16/12/2020 11:12

4 - 2 sets of siblings.

PrivateD00r · 16/12/2020 11:13

We had two positive siblings a while back so those two classes had to isolate (caught from their dad who is a HCP). Then we had a teacher immediately after half term (so not caught in school) who had been in the staff room on the first day back (developed symptoms later that day), so all those teachers had to isolate. One other teacher caught it. This caused a bit of havoc as they couldn't get enough supply to cover so lots of classes were off due to no teacher. That is it thought thankfully! And thankfully both teachers had mild symptoms.

I also have two DC in secondary schools and neither school have had any cases picked up.

VickyBHF · 16/12/2020 11:21

Central London. 0 pupils and 1 staff.

firesong · 16/12/2020 11:26

None that I have heard about. It's a small primary with around 200 students plus a small nursery.

Callisto1 · 16/12/2020 11:50

No cases in school so far, but there was one positive adult in an after school club, which affected quite a few students in the later primary years. Don't think the actual classes were shut. It's a big primary with over 600 pupils in a tier 3 city in Scotland.

Hope we don't get any cases before Christmas break!

ShivD · 16/12/2020 11:50

There’s been 1 child test positive in my DC’s primary and a few more staff.

It’s a 2 form entry school and both year 6 classes and one nursery class have done one period of isolation each. I don’t know how it’s been so low 🤷🏻‍♀️
