Ridiculous/funny things that have changed ‘due to covid’

We were told this weekend that dominos can’t do half and half pizzas at the moment. We asked why and they just said due to covid Hmm

Gardener can only do every three weeks not every two...due to covid.

Haven’t been able to see a dentist since January. Covid means teeth are no longer a health concern!

Anyone else?!

My daughter can spend all day together with her friends at school, but they can’t walk home together as a group.

My daughter’s horse riding instructor can come to our yard for a 1-2-1 lesson, but we can’t go to her yard for a 1-2-1 lesson

Our McDonald’s has introduced the most confusing system known to man

Our local agricultural store has 2 separate buildings - 1 for general pet stuff, the other for farm/equine stuff. I need to go in one for dog food, and then round to the other for horse feed. At one point, they were only allowing you to go in one building per visit. I had to go in one shop, drive out of the car park, drive back in and go into the other shop, or come back another day. Plus, they were only allowing 5 cars in their massive car park at once which caused such horrendous traffic chaos that they got a massive bollocking by the police. Thankfully it didn’t last long

Our local council has decided to put temporary cycle paths along the main roads because of Covid
No idea why are there more cyclists about ?

I couldn't choose my pet fish due to Covid. The shop assistant at Pets at Home said I wasn't allowed near the tank and she would pick them for me. Confused

I'm a primary school teacher...
My class all share the same air, in a room with no opening windows all day, but when I send them to the bathroom to wash their hands for lunch, they have to go in one at a time. Takes bloody ages and they've all been sharing the same air/sneezing on each other /hugging each other all morning!

Regarding lack of choice in take away venues.
Factories that produce pizza bases / toppings / sandwich fillings / sandwich bread / sauces / etc. are on their knees. If they supply food service they are down to as little as 20% of their normal throughput, most of the staff are furloughed, they are probably open a couple of days a week, for one shift. Of course they aren't producing every possible sodding permutation on the menu, they will be lucky to still be in business next year.

Carnt get school shoes from matalan. Last time I went I was pretty much the only person in the shop. No, coz Covid Had to go to Asda Absolutely packed Couldn't try shoes on Coz Covid

Got home
Didn't fit

Took them back (still packed with people jostling and pushing.

Had to struggle thru the entire shop to get to cigarette kiosk (approx 4m away from entrance (other entrance closed, Covid))

One swing taken away so kids can't swing next to each other but it's ok.... they can be next to one another on the slide and roundabout.

Changing room at local pool closed, and only allowed to undress/ get dry/ dress at side of pool.
Attendant said that " ladies usually just put on clothes to go home in over their wet swimming costume".

@Rhayader oddly enough our reception have specifically said ALL costumes will be provided by school when normally we send them in. I don't think even COVID understands the rules....

Detentions now are rarely given in my sons school due to COVID , despite the kids mixing all day with each other there is a max limit of 5 spaces for detention Grin The kids have had a field day with this knowledge
I'm sure they are loving it. Grin

We would have had a great time with that if it had happened when I was at school (I left in 1984).

I’ve rebooked the dentist twice this year and both coincided with lockdown so were cancelled.

Just found another one. I can’t buy my favourite toothpaste!!!!

I hate mint flavour and after years of searching used to use this lovely “tooth cleanser” made by Dawood and Tanner, London specialist dentists, bought online from their website. I bought half a dozen at a time and alternated lemon and lime flavours and they were lush and no more ickly mint. In March they stopped selling it online, fair enough the world went crazy back in March. But their online shop is still closed!!! Baaah!!! I’m close to switching to a children’s strawberry toothpaste, fecking hate mint and I’ve run out of my tasty stash now.
