My husband and me have both come down with a cough. And hes got a bit of a temperature so we've arranged to get two tests done tomorrow.. the problem is we have a 3 month old baby and we are running very low on formula. I got paid today so the plan was to nip to asda or tesco like we usually do on payday and top up. Obviously we may not have covid but we are trying to follow the guidance. We have no immediate family in the area and no friends who drive or live this way. No delivery slots at any of the supermarkets. Looked on deliveroo and ubereats and for starters the delivery fee is at least 4 pound, I know its not a lot but when your husband is furloughed again and im on maternity every penny counts but also the milk is an extra four pound. Its 8 pound for cow and gate in the supermarket, 12 pound on the deliveroo supermarkets. Im not here to complain and im not here to start a debate. I just dont know what to do. Me and my husband have food in. But my little girl has hardly any. Please don't slate me for running low on milk. Were leaving payday to payday as it is.

Hope you are feeling ok OP and hope you get a negative test result
Hopefully it is negative this time, but think what if you do get the virus in the next few weeks. You need to have some plan in place so you don’t end up in this situation again where your baby has no milk left and you are too ill or contagious to go and get some.
My colleague had a baby a few months ago too. She stocked up a little on milk and essentials before hand in preparation as she knew maternity pay doesn’t last forever and there’s a chance her DH could be furloughed.

Just an update, our results came back this morning and we are both negative.

Grin good result op. And you’re well stocked with formula anyway. Hide one tin away if you can afford ? Bet you’d hesitate to come back here for advice Grin

@blvdbrokendreams 🙌🏻 Glad everyone got a negative test. Good luck to your dh with the job hunt. Flowers

You are on a hiding to nothing if you think your average woman is going to prioritise anything/anyone over feeding her baby.

My children get fed. That is a non negotiable position. I will do what I have to and risk what I have to to make that happen. All other concerns fall away.

@AllAussieAdventures completely agree! ❤️

Oh that's great OP
