If the vaccine was immediately available for everyone - would you have it?

Not after an argument I’m just genuinely wondering! I have spoken to two friends and one would have it and one wouldn’t. If the vaccine (still with 90% effectivity) was available for everyone in the UK, would you have it straight away?

Yes. Sign me up tomorrow.

rosie1959 · 09/11/2020 16:29

Yes

Numberblock7 · 09/11/2020 16:30

Yes, although in reality I’m expecting it to be many many months, if ever. I wouldn’t consent for my children though at this point.

Ozzie9523 · 09/11/2020 16:30

Yes

Pantheon · 09/11/2020 16:30

Yes

MoirasRoses · 09/11/2020 16:30

Yes. Front of the queue so I could see my mum without worrying! I know it’s not 100% but for my mum, a cold could land her in hospital & in fact has done. But we got on with life pre-covid. Once we are both vaccinated, it’s a risk we’ll take as we always did.

DrizzleandDamp · 09/11/2020 16:30

There has been another one of these, no I wouldn’t.

And I am not a “theorist” or a anti vaxxer but I have serious concerns about it becoming mandatory eg for air travel, or work.

TheWhalrus · 09/11/2020 16:31

Yes...although do you mean the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine specifically? I've seen the phase I/II data from that vaccine and i'm fine with it.

Rabbitholebonkers · 09/11/2020 16:31

Yep

HairyFloppins · 09/11/2020 16:31

Yes

simonthedog · 09/11/2020 16:32

yes

Moondust001 · 09/11/2020 16:32

I wondered how long it would take.

Doimatter · 09/11/2020 16:33

No way

Port1aCastis · 09/11/2020 16:34

Yes I would

Girlonatubetrain2 · 09/11/2020 16:34

Nope

Wilkolampshade · 09/11/2020 16:34

Hell yes!

SimonJT · 09/11/2020 16:34

Absolutely, I’m male, Asian, I have type one diabetes and minimal spleen function!

Not only would I be protecting me, I would be protecting those around me.

ContraIndicated · 09/11/2020 16:34

Yes, absolutely. I would pay to have it if that service is available.

PicsInRed · 09/11/2020 16:34

I'd wait 4-6 weeks. If there were major issues it would come out by then - and it would likely take at least that long to reach me anyway!

I'm looking forward, to everything getting back to normal and will celebrate by eating out, travelling and not socially distancing, at all, ever again. 🍹🎊🥂🥳

BloomShine · 09/11/2020 16:35

No. I think I would be more worried about potential side effects of the vaccine then Covid

Kazzyhoward · 09/11/2020 16:35

Yes, it's the only way to get back towards normality. The more the better and I don't want to be a hypocrite and rely on others to have it to protect me!

Bubblemonkey · 09/11/2020 16:36

Had to shield first time round.
Work in the nhs.
Would still wait to see how it pans out.

I don’t have babies yet... I couldn’t forgive myself if anything happened because of the vaccine.

Just my opinion

ItCouldBeBunnies · 09/11/2020 16:36

No

TheKeatingFive · 09/11/2020 16:36

Yes I think so. I am pretty invested in getting back to normal life, so I would need to put my money where my mouth is on this one.

Playdoughbum · 09/11/2020 16:37

Yes. Absolutely. Can’t wait.
