If the vaccine was immediately available for everyone - would you have it?

Not after an argument I’m just genuinely wondering! I have spoken to two friends and one would have it and one wouldn’t. If the vaccine (still with 90% effectivity) was available for everyone in the UK, would you have it straight away?

Nope.

Isabelle99 · 09/11/2020 16:57

Yes probably

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 09/11/2020 16:57

I think that would be a 'hell yes'

I wish I could have it soon - as it is I'm sure I'll be waiting many months. But better then than not at all

Parky04 · 09/11/2020 17:01

No.

Inthesameboatatmo · 09/11/2020 17:01

Not until more trials and test done for side effects. So a no from me

WildWindBlows · 09/11/2020 17:03

Yes. I know a couple of people with long covid that has rendered them unable to work and they were perfectly fit and healthy pre covid. That is my biggest fear as lone parent so yes anything to avoid the possibility of being unable to work and ending up in poverty.

Figgyboa · 09/11/2020 17:05

No, I'm low risk.

VioletCharlotte · 09/11/2020 17:06

Yes. It's the only way we'll ever get our lives back to normal.

loulouljh · 09/11/2020 17:07

No...

Lifeofftheedge · 09/11/2020 17:07

Absolutely, yes.

SlopesOff · 09/11/2020 17:07

No. I am clinically vulnerable and I don't want it, at least not until more is known about it.

AfterSchoolWorry · 09/11/2020 17:08

Yea, i would. No problems.

LunaDeet · 09/11/2020 17:08

Not a chance. I'm low risk and have probably had it. Vaccines take 8-10 years to be rolled out usually. This is too fast in my opinion. We don't even know that much about the mink mutated strain - does the virus cover this strain also?

LunaDeet · 09/11/2020 17:09

Sorry ** vaccine not virus

Rudolphian · 09/11/2020 17:09

No.

omega3 · 09/11/2020 17:09

No.

Fieldofyellowflowers · 09/11/2020 17:09

Nope. I'd let the older/vulnerable people go first.

In all seriousness, Bojo has just said something sensible for the first time ever. You can't rush in at 1000 miles an hour when it comes to a new vaccine.

PhilCornwall1 · 09/11/2020 17:10

I'm ECV and should be shielding, but there is no chance I'd have it as soon as it's available.

I'll give it a long time and see how it works out for others first.

SunShinesStill · 09/11/2020 17:12

Hell yea.
For all the reasons of all the people saying no and those thinking they’ll be fine if they get it and are still meeting up with friends etc

frozendaisy · 09/11/2020 17:13

God yes

Whirlwind14 · 09/11/2020 17:13

Yes! My parents too and then we could get life back to normal...

TeacherABC · 09/11/2020 17:15

Definitely not, more trials and time needed.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/11/2020 17:15

No way.

FTMF30 · 09/11/2020 17:15

No. I'm apprehensive about side effects (long term).

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 09/11/2020 17:16

Yep
