DC2 Y1 - 1 period (she had a cough 7 weeks ago but due to catalogue of issues her test was never collected by courier arranged by 119 so became void)
DC1 (y3) and DC3 (nursery) also had to isolate due to DC2 having symptoms but we didn't get a negative test. I also had to SI and DP moved in with his parents self employed and had worked away prior to DC2 getting poorly

Sallycinnamon86 5 times 😱 that’s awful

My dd is really struggling and it’s interesting to see how some children have managed to avoid any isolation compared to those who have barely had any time in school since September Sad

I don't have school age children but I'm a secondary teacher in Yorkshire. It does seem very unevenly distributed at school. Isolation from being a close contact in school (we've had quite a few cases):

About 10 very unlucky y11s: 3 times
Another 70ish y11s: 2 times
About 400 covering all years (7-13) and staff: 1 time

Also a steady stream of students and staff off isolating due to own symptoms, symptoms in family, positive test in family or having been track and traced outside school. A class without a covid related absence is unusual.
