Anybody currently waiting on a test result?

I went to a drive thru test centre yesterday so I'm home and self isolating until I get the results.

Anybody else?

Woman on the phone when we rang to chase didn't fill me with confidence that we'll get it any time soon either. Just said 'we'll send an email'

Argh, I didn't want to hear that - we're Essex too. Really hope you get yours soon!

The test centre was nearly empty and it was really easy to get an appointment but I don't know if that helps, as presumably they go somewhere central for the test to be run?

My coughing fits seem to subside for several hours then it flares back up again. Been fine this morning now I have a tickly dry cough again.
Hasn't gotten worse though. A cold would surely include snotty nose:(

Coping fine thank you, I’m 7 days in from my symptoms starting. I’ve felt tired and had bad headaches but haven’t needed paracetamol so far today. It’s mainly my taste and smell that have felt different from anything else. I started with a blocked nose!

I'm sorry to hear this, but glad you're feeling a bit better today.

I’ve had a runny nose with mine and lots of sneezing! Both me and my husband have been very different with symptoms. He had a tickling cough and a runny nose. Our kids have shown no symptoms at all.

sounds similar to Flu...

Mine came back negative at 6am today.

Took about 18 hours for the result.

Still nothing from my DD’s postal test yet. It arrived early hours of Saturday morning so I imagine we have another day or two waiting still....

Nothing for me yet either, 31 hours since I tested I'm really hoping it's here before 8am tomorrow so DP doesn't have to miss work! (Certain it will be negative)

Fingers crossed for you! Luckily it’s half term here and both DH and I work from home so not too much disruption our end. Just agonising to wait!

Had a test this afternoon. Hoping result comes quickly. We are supposed to be moving house this week! Well half of it anyway. It’s not the end of the world if we have to delay but would rather not.

Have cold symptoms but also an odd pain/burning in chest this morning and feeling shaky. Currently in bed. Felt a bit rubbish and DH was cooking a roast which I really didn’t fancy. Just wanted to be in bed.

Almost exactly 48 hours since walk in test for my DD and it’s negative.

Just got my result, 35 hours since testing (and negative thankfully!)

Tested at 10am today. Started feeling strange on Wednesday, odd taste in mouth and spacey, Thursday fluey and mostly been in bed since then, sleeping, feverish etc. Probably flu but thought I ought to check.

I am Essex took the test today at 12pm With my 2 year old son!!! Seriously how can these tests take so long

Result back at 10pm by email, no text yet. Thankfully negative, so so happy! That was about 52 hrs for me.

My test was delivered to them at 7am Saturday and haven’t heard yet. Poor DS is desperate to get out of the house and so am I! Hopefully it’ll come so e point today so we can do something quickly before he’s back at school tomorrow.
