*And do you know the entire medical histories of all these women?
Of course you don't. You have no idea why they may feel claustrophobic or panicky in a mask.
Once again, for the arses people in the back: There is no medical exemption card, the government have stated proof is not required, and those who are exempt do not have to wear a lanyard.*
Ah see, you're missing the point and have misread what I said in your outrage. I don't know people's medical history, nor do I want to. I don't care if they don't wear a mask because they can't. I want the new marshals to be given new powers to ask this, if we must have them, and the new rule of 6s laws to include introducing some form of exemption card and people having to wear lanyards, if they are eligble, in order to stop all the attention seeking fakers causing endless bloody issues about masks and leave the very few people who genuinely can't wear one to be left in peace to go about their business.[/quote]
Ah see, I think the current system is fine and would work as it is if only people would mind their own business. And actually read, understand and follow the rules regarding those who are exempt.
You have no idea who's 'faking' and who isn't. There isn't a list of conditions which confer exemption. A GP, for example, may not be aware of the reasons why someone may be exempt. Many people would rather keep that sort of information private for all sorts of reasons.
Are you suggesting that a survivor of rape or DV be compelled to share that information with her GP (or anyone else) in order to get her lanyard? How would she prove it? And if she doesn't, do you think marshalls should be able to fine her?
