Isn't it time to close pubs and beauty salons

We are seeing a spike if we closed these activities down for 1 month then its likely schools can remain open. It would seem an obvious choice. I know these businesses circulate money in the economy but on balance their closure would protect a wider range of activities key to the economy.

I’ve heard stories of outbreaks in pubs. I’ve heard no stories of outbreaks in beauty salons. None.

But that will not be all pubs, so not warranting the close of all pubs OP. The ones I've been in have been fine and regulated. However there are some stories of that not being the case and of course they should be pulled up on that.

Yes I agree. I’m just wondering where the OP has plucked beauty salons from. Other than that she’s just picked something that doesn’t affect her.

Absolutely Not beauty salons. It was bad enough they couldn't re open at the same time as hairdressers, and then treatments on the face were delayed again. I feel safest getting my nails and eyebrows done once a fortnight than I do anywhere else. Regular cleaning and sanitising, social distancing, hang washing/ sanitiser. Therapists/ hairdressers wearing PPE, clients wearing masks where treatments allow. I'm happier and feel safer in one room opposite one other person with us both wearing appropriate protection than I am anywhere else.
