have I missed it or has this week's PHE weekly surveillance report not been published yet?

I normally find it at www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-covid-19-surveillance-reports

I don't think so, it's not up yet....

PatriciaHolm · 28/08/2020 16:24

Latest cases 1,276. Better than yesterday!

MRex · 28/08/2020 16:25

Numbers are just in. 1276, 9 deaths, 109 new admissions (presumably over half in Wales again), 71 on ventilators.

cathyandclare · 28/08/2020 16:25

It's up on the ONS site Boys

During the most recent week (14 to 20 August 2020), we estimate there were around 0.40 (95% credible interval: 0.21 to 0.69) new COVID-19 infections for every 10,000 people per day in the community population in England, equating to around 2,200 new cases per day (95% credible interval: 1,100 to 3,800).
There is not enough evidence to say at this point that there has been a fall in incidence in the most recent week, therefore we continue to report that the incidence rate for England remains unchanged.

That admissions number is from Weds 19! England for yesterday is 52; Wales is 69 (!) but we know that's nonsense ;-)

Number of people in hospital in England down again.

cathyandclare · 28/08/2020 16:30

Yes just 52 admissions in England in the latest figures ( from 26/8)

That's the ONS Survey report; the PHE surveillance report is different, and another one is due today.
cathyandclare · 28/08/2020 16:31

Sorry didn't read the post properly!

Shitfuckoh · 28/08/2020 16:31

If people have been having issues getting tests due to the glitch, how are the number of positives still so high? (I have dots on my page instead of figures so unable to see how many tests have been 'done')

MRex · 28/08/2020 16:36

Regional R rates are here: www.gov.uk/guidance/the-r-number-in-the-uk. Should be in the main dashboard surely.

@boys3 The PHE report is out now. Largely based on data from 13-20 August so misses the big numbers from the last few days of course. Interesting (but not unexpected) that uptick in positivity rates in London for 20-29 year olds carries on (as well as in NE and SE)

It's come to something when I don't know if you're being sarky or whether it's tongue in cheek Grin

No hope allowed, you're supposed to be living in a bubble! Grin

Still can't get this page to show me the figures.
& this thread is almost full.

@PatriciaHolm

Indeed the London graph is quite stark. Not sure we've had this level of age breakdown before; although the supporting excel file sadly does not seem to include the data set; so squinting time once more
