Here it is - we are still slightly outraged

Sky News reporting today the BoE tells the banks to prepare for a no-deal Brexit. Johnson and Cummings will make us crash out of the EU, no matter the price.

I find no words to describe their irresponsibility.

quiteathome · 03/06/2020 10:59

That is what they have always wanted. A no deal Brexit.

This pandemic has been very convenient for their no deal plans.

I am more scared of the economic fall out of the pandemic combined with the economic fall out of a no deal Brexit.

PurplePansy05 · 03/06/2020 11:31

Quite - I agree.

Also Johnson now saying he'll open doors to 3m people from Hong Kong...yet the 3m EU citizens in Britain have been crucified entirely unfairly throughout his and Cummings' divisive campaign, blamed for everything that is wrong with this country. He was OK with that and he painted the picture that immigration is the source of all evil. Now he's opening doors to another 3 million people. Yet another slap in the face to all EU citizens in the UK and actually, also to all Brexit voters who were counting on Jonhson to restrict immigration. I personally don't agree with this sentiment, but regardless, this is what he promised to do. It might just be a political statement and another lie from him, but still.

I think he's gone crazy.

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2020 11:43

PMQ is on at 12, you can watch it on bbc2, bbc parliament and sky news.

Roussette · 03/06/2020 12:14

Keir Starmer is wiping the floor with Bojo. All Boris keeps saying is 'the wonderful british public' in answer to everything that Keir brings up. And even went through the mantra 'wash your hands', stay alert blah blah' in answer to q's.

Roussette · 03/06/2020 12:15

And what is happening is... Boris is bellowing, Keir is talking quietly and firmly.

JackiFazaki · 03/06/2020 12:17

PMQs. Starmer is cool, calm, and collected.
Johnson is waffling away about washing hands, and other buzz phrases.

Starmer wrote to him in confidence two weeks ago about working together re schools. Johnson never replied.

Waffle from Johnson. Starmer is putting the confidential letter in the public domain.

Johnson still wibble wobbling, This spacing apart on the benches is not good for Johnson, no meanies to huddle around him and jeer.

JackiFazaki · 03/06/2020 12:21

Starmer.

"The PM is confusing Scrutiny with Attacks. "

"He is making it difficult to support this Government"

JackiFazaki · 03/06/2020 12:25

Hunt asking how many tests turned round in 24 hours.

Et tu Brute

PurplePansy05 · 03/06/2020 13:35

Starmer is in a different league.

I cannot believe Johnson refused to condemn Trump's response. There was also a question about the removal of references to structural racism in the report issued by PHE, which he dodged.

What does this man stand for? Cause I certainly don't stand by the same values.

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 15:24

Pictures of Johnson on Twitter look like hes wearing an earpiece.

Roussette · 03/06/2020 15:27

To me, Boris came across as very rattled and bad tempered in PMQ. This PM job isn't quite what he thought it would be is it...

(I hasten to add, I wouldn't wish a pandemic on any PM)

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2020 15:57

Rattled, bad tempered and lying as he implicated he had a one on one call with Starmer

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2020 16:14

Back to Cummings

Roussette · 03/06/2020 16:35

Boris is doing the press briefing tonight. Will it be 'wash your hands' or 'stay alert' I wonder, in answer to press q's?

Re the phone call, he just lies.

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2020 16:56

He has got Professor Chris Whitty and Sir Patrick Vallance with him

JackiFazaki · 03/06/2020 16:57

Blimey Duncin, so it wasn't a one on one call with Starmer.?
What a corker of a porkie that was.
I watched the BBC replaying the highlights of PMQs. Johnson does not come off well at all. Starmer looks cool and unrattled.

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 03/06/2020 16:59

Watching on bbc for a change. Jeremy Hunt is talking like a member of the opposition! He wants to be PM BADLY!

JackiFazaki · 03/06/2020 17:03

Just having that conversation in our house Jackie. Hunt saying "we were told".. not "we in Government".
He can smell that BJ is running out of road.

minou123 · 03/06/2020 17:14

Have we all got his recorded?
He made it very clear not to have gatherings inside.
So when the next aide or minister has an indoor gathering, there cannot be an exception or bumbled reasons to why it was ok.

Let's see....Hmm

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 03/06/2020 17:18

Chris Whitty looks like he would rather be in a rats nest than stood propping up this ridiculous prime minister waffle waffle bluster waffle

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 03/06/2020 17:25

Boris said 'all lives matter' - oh dear, not a wise move

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 17:35

I see the words "rules" and "prohibited" are back after the post Cummings use of the word "guidelines" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 17:41

Guess they will switch back to "guidelines" when the next MP or aide is caught having an indoor booze up.

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 03/06/2020 17:46

Chris Whitty has a touch of the benedict cumberbatch about him. Never noticed this before
