Here it is - we are still slightly outraged

Everytimeref · 28/05/2020 16:58

Still really angry, but prepared to "move on" and play the long game. Boris has been damaged and he won't last.

Inkpaperstars · 28/05/2020 16:58

Checking in, thanks for new thread.

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:00

Im sure the airlines and holiday companies will be positively jubilant at the suggestion of ppl using their annual leave for self isolation.

God they really are incapable of critical thinking arent they.

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:05

Boris is floundering Shock he just said of those people we are there friends and family of mourning. (Or something so incoherant!)

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:06

I don't get AL. Nobody working in education does. What do we do? We are the people who are most likely to be in contact for more than 15 minutes and under 2m.

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 28/05/2020 17:08

He's talking is out of lockdown. Policy to protect the elite rather than policy to protect the nation

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:14

Guess i will be peeing in the garden pond then FFS!

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:15

A big Fuck You to families who live in flats with no gardens.

FuckThisWind · 28/05/2020 17:15

Continue to shield for us. Who knows for how long. More to come as they make it up as they go along and prepare to drop the bombshell that it will likely be for the rest of the year

Roussette · 28/05/2020 17:16

Is he channelling his hairstyle on Trump's???

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:17

Boris is actually really good when delivering a speech like he is now.

He trips up when empathy really is involved (as opposed to just saying he understands) and when questioned.

No wonder he needs Cummings it write these speeches he delivers so well.

Maybe people are right - they both need to go.

Everytimeref · 28/05/2020 17:17

Boris delivery the " Look at this new shiny thing" in the hope the "Cummings matter is closed"

minou123 · 28/05/2020 17:17

Oh, I can have a cup of tea with my granny in the garden.....

Part of me thinks this is not based on scientific facts, but more to shut us up

SouthWestmom · 28/05/2020 17:17

Who knows wind if DC fucks up again you'll be free as a bird. They'll be paying you to go out.

OP posts:
Galvantula · 28/05/2020 17:18

Is he on his own tonight then?,🤔

Lucywilde · 28/05/2020 17:18

Utterly sick of his buffoon. Economy seems to be the only thing on his mind. And sadly though I’ve always been wary of him, I now don’t believe a thing that comes out of his mouth. Does he even read the data? Or just a short summary written in simple, short sentences.

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:18

My mum is shielding. So is my dad but for more complex circumstances.

She has said she feels it will be until a vaccine arrives.

Galvantula · 28/05/2020 17:19

Missed beginning due to rounding up DC for dinner. Blush

Saucery · 28/05/2020 17:20

The ‘invisible enemy’ thing really annoys me. This is not a sentient being, you can’t battle or outwit it.

But never mind eh, the footy is starting again 🙄

YogaLite · 28/05/2020 17:21

Oooh, DC upped his game with animated slides now.

minou123 · 28/05/2020 17:23

It kinda reminds me of those dodgy 70s sex education films.

I think it might be the music.

Lucywilde · 28/05/2020 17:25

Feels like Valance is quietly saying we need to be very very cautious and careful as the numbers aren’t dropping quickly and we are very close to the R being 1.

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:28

He seemed to suggest the coming out of lockdown Boris just announced is actually potentially too much too soon.

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:29

He's floundering. Matt said on sky that if you isolate you'll be off sick. And that they'll be encouraging businesses to treat you that way and pay sick pay. If not SSP will be paid.

Lucywilde · 28/05/2020 17:29

I’ve given up on Boris and I’m listening to Chris and Patrick. They’re making it very clear that infection rates are very high and we’re not out the woods yet despite coming out the peak. As my dh said, Boris’s plan is a political one, Whitty and Valance is science.
