And answer questions today. I wonder if he's doing the briefing today with Bozo?!

I wonder how this will go?!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:47

He's got away with this.

OfUselessBooks · 25/05/2020 16:48

So he was in the woods, but having a wild wee, so that's ok...

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/05/2020 16:48

He’s going no where. Boris made sure there was no cctv.
Oh now he can’t remember what he did!
“I am Considerably more important than yow“ is the message here.
he is an unelected advisor. Surely those we have elected should be able to make decisions without one specific one?

Bluewavescrashing · 25/05/2020 16:49

Stuttering like mad now he's gone off script to answer the questions

NotTerfNorCis · 25/05/2020 16:50

He doesn't come across as arrogant to me. Imagine Rees Mogg in that situation. He seems like an introvert under stress.

BamboozledandBefuddled · 25/05/2020 16:50

There's more holes in that statement than in my granddad's string vest.

Horsemad · 25/05/2020 16:50

His arrogance!

EndothermicHands · 25/05/2020 16:50

The level of detail in this BS is exceptional and the clue that this is all a carefully constructed fantasy story to cover his own arse. Utter snake.

mooffie · 25/05/2020 16:50

why doesn't he apologise!!

PuzzledObserver · 25/05/2020 16:51

Those who have heard what he’s said - what do you think he should have done instead of leaving London? About childcare?

Hitchyhero · 25/05/2020 16:51

So if you have bad eyesight and want to test it.... The best thing to do is go drive a car in a town with other people.

FourTeaFallOut · 25/05/2020 16:51

Jesus, cry me a river. "I have to make decisions like that every day" - what, like, oh shit, who will look after my kids now my wife is sick? What a fucking hero.

CalmConfident · 25/05/2020 16:52

Lies...too much detail

PerspicaciaTick · 25/05/2020 16:52

So the situation was tricky and complex, fair enough. But it wasn't an unusual situation, similar decisions were being made in homes across the country and those people decided to obey the rules while he decided to do his own thing.

7to25 · 25/05/2020 16:52

He obviously thinks he is utterly indispensable

Experimenopause · 25/05/2020 16:52

NotTerfNorCis
You stopped yourself from writing ‘oh and an INTJ at that!’. Thank you for stopping before you wrote that.
I really don’t trust this lot. I want them gone ASAP and want this country to be governed by someone trustworthy enough to not break the rules after writing them.

gailforce1 · 25/05/2020 16:53

Having gone to his parents why didn't he stay there and when well enough Work from there?

Horsemad · 25/05/2020 16:53

Puzzled He should have self isolated in London and if necessary had the child collected by a family member who lives locally.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/05/2020 16:53

I know exactly where he was (I know the “elderly” man) and we were walking there that day. It was fairly (in lockdown terms) pretty busy as every bugger in BC seemed to be there that day. (Us included)

EmMac7 · 25/05/2020 16:54

I don’t understand why his wife didn’t drive them back to London? He claims the drive to Barnard Castle was to test his ability to drive — but why did he need to drive at all when his wife is on record as having had a much milder case and recovering earlier?

FourTeaFallOut · 25/05/2020 16:54

It sounds like my six year olds version of 'What I did on my holiday'.

I was in the car. Then I got out of the car. I wandered around the car, not too far. Someone saw me. I got back in the car.

... Now I know how his teacher feels.

Experimenopause · 25/05/2020 16:55

So if you have bad eyesight and want to test it....The best thing to do is go drive a car in a town with other people.

Let me add to that: if you suspect you have Covid, the best thing is to drive 260 miles and spread whatever you have. If a few people die or get seriously ill/disabled, you most definitely had it.

CrunchyCarrot · 25/05/2020 16:55

Crikey. Can he really not see that thousands of other people were in similar if not worse dilemmas too, and they didn't drive hundreds of miles to another property?? All the questions he was asking himself, thousands of the rest of us were also weighing those same things up too, but we obeyed the govt guidance to not travel and stay home! His statement changes nothing.

SimonJT · 25/05/2020 16:55

Thought this situation seemed familiar.

HeIenaDove · 25/05/2020 16:55

What about the sighting in Durham on 10th May.
