Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

Sympathies@Mittens030869 💐. Hopefully the tests will tell them what is potentially going on.

@TiddleTaddleTat, I was prescribed Propranalol for anxiety a few years ago. I took a very low dose but didn't like the effect - I think it lowered my blood pressure too quickly. I think others on here have had it though and there are threads on Mumsnet where people swear by it.

Whatnext2018 · 05/06/2020 16:20

Does anyone have that sort of swollen glands, aches feeling, like your body is fighting off infection? It’s that kind of’ You can get on with things, not bed bound, but really not healthy’ feeling

Mittens030869 · 05/06/2020 16:23

Thank you for the supportive comments. I was told that the chest pain might be muscular, which makes sense with all the coughing. It’s the constant exhaustion that’s most debilitating, though.
I’m also concerned that I might also have developed an allergy to cat fur as a result of this, which would be sad as I have 3 cats that I love very much.

Lightsabre · 05/06/2020 16:24

@Whatnext2018 , yes, a lot of the time. Currently glands up in my neck and under my left armpit - these have been pretty constant for the past 9 weeks.

Anyone know how to start a Covid 9 weeks + thread as this one will be full soon?

WotnoPasta · 05/06/2020 16:31

I started with swollen glands in my neck and armpits

Moodgie · 05/06/2020 16:37

Just spoken to my GP again as needed to get signed off again. Haven’t spoken to him for two weeks and this time he said all I have described fits to the other people describing their long-lasting symptoms - the breathing issues on and off, fatigue, even the red patches that look like broken veins (I have had them on things and knees mainly). There is definitely more awareness now it seems. With a new virus of course, they can’t say for sure, but he thinks with time it will go - comparing to to glandular fever that is longer for some than others. According to him the virus is gone and it is the after effects. He says within 2-3 weeks the surgery will be able to offer an antibody test. (He also said the swab tests are 25% inaccurate.)

Meercatmama · 05/06/2020 17:03

Hi
You asked me to come back and report my most lingering symptoms. Sorry I was did not reply earlier but was working from home all day. Most lingering one is the aches in my back under my shoulder blades and soreness around my bra line. Shortness of breath lessening. Today aches all over my body and most of all the tiredness. I am just so tired by the end of the day. However I do feel more like myself. The brain fog is starting to clear and the anxiety is starting to lessen although I am very wary when in school about being near people and children and touching things that I am not sure are clean.

AndsLee · 05/06/2020 17:10

@Whatnext2018
That's exactly how I am feeling. Can function fine (though I keep dropping everything) but not quite right. My glands kick off under my arms and my groin. I get a bit of tinnitus but I think I had that before. If I could just shake this prickly sensation...

I am so scared I'll have to go through a third cycle of symptoms.

alittleprivacy · 05/06/2020 17:51

Thanks for the good wishes for the dog. He hasn't broken anything, so that's good news. Hopefully he'll pull through!

godhelpusall · 05/06/2020 17:54

@AndsLee @Whatnext2018 I'm feeling like that today. With a headache.

AndsLee · 05/06/2020 18:00

I'm not sure how to create a new thread...? Anyone done this before?

My glands aren't 'sore' persay. They just heat up and then it subsides.

Whatnext2018 · 05/06/2020 18:04

@Andslee & @godhelpusall It’s really quite odd that it doesn’t show in the blood tests as an infection, and if this is post, why does it feel like the body is still fighting it some days..and quite strongly,

godhelpusall · 05/06/2020 18:15

@Whatnext2018 I don't have sore glands but just the awful feeling

AndsLee · 05/06/2020 18:24

I managed to create a new thread. Hope that's ok with everyone!

AndsLee · 05/06/2020 18:27

@Whatnext2018 @godhelpusall

I've wondered about that. I wonder if it's because the glands are "on" rather than inflamed.

Fishflakes · 07/06/2020 02:02

Moomin yes to thirst. I notice it at night/lying down and sometimes think it is a dry ‘thirsty’ throat, but then I taste acid and know it’s actually mild reflux.

Toptottie24 · 12/06/2020 19:04

Hey everyone,
Hope you are all on the mend from the awful Covid 19.
Went to the hospital about the lump they found in my breast, they found quite a few in both but they are only cysts so I need to keep an eye on them.
Soooo happy it wasn’t anything worse.
As for the Covid symptoms, I’m miles better, mild fatigue but still getting breathless when walking, suppose it will get better in time, even tho I’ve had this since 19th March!!

Egghead68 · 12/06/2020 20:08

Great news @Toptottie24! We are over on a new thread now (see link above) if you want to join us. So happy and relieved for you.

KatySun · 12/06/2020 20:31

Excellent TopTottie I am pleased to hear that, it must have been very stressful. Also glad to hear you are on the mend from covid!
