Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

@godhelpusall
I think @moodgie has a point. The collective negative swabs between us all points to post viral (although I appreciate that's much more variable when considered on an individual basis).

A slight niggle for me is the reoccurance of symptoms in sequence since my negative swab... Confused.

Symptom shout out/bingo:
Anyone else with the pesky rash still ongoing. Week 11 (or week 4 from 2nd bout of symptoms).

Egghead68 · 03/06/2020 19:14

@Whatnext2018 I’m only familiar with them in a research setting when they were about 30 mins.Clinical ones just looking at the structure of the brain are much quicker. I’m guessing 10-20 mins but others might know better.

Moodgie · 03/06/2020 19:25

@Whatnext2018 I had 2 MRIs last year. Don’t worry about it, it is noisy but it’s ok, you have to lie still so I was just imagining being on the beach. I think it was about 25 mins.

Haenow · 03/06/2020 19:50

@Whatnext2018

I’m sorry you feel so scared. Flowers Were you having symptoms before covid, or it new?
Let us know if you need a friendly ear.
No, I was born with a condition and I had surgery, so I have monitoring. It doesn’t affect me massively these days.

Fishflakes · 03/06/2020 20:00

Week 11 for me and feeling less dizzy and weak but still have nerve twangs in random places. Had to walk for about 30 mins earlier and I now have pins and needles in both legs and ongoing feet aching, pains up the side of my legs at the nerve points. So wierd. Did everyone else’s leg issues stop after rest?
Flowers to everyone still suffering with this horrible disease.

Tagging previous posters hoping they can report their recovery. Apologise if I have tagged anyone who’s been active very recently.

Downandin · 03/06/2020 20:22

@Egghead68, Sorry if you have said several times, I'm so tired to read back, but did you have the blood test at your G.P surgery?

Thanks.

godhelpusall · 03/06/2020 20:23

@Fishflakes I have tingly feet when I rest. And pain in my left foot where I have an old injury that has flared up.

TheWooisStrong · 03/06/2020 20:25

Hey
I’m pretty much back to normal. Still fatigued at the end of the day, occasional palpitations/dizziness if I really overdo it. But in the last week I’ve averaged 15k steps a day, got v v drunk for a significant birthday, been for a couple of runs... Exercise still feels harder than I’m used to, but I’m nothing like I was last month or the mom that before.
Good luck everyone!

TiddleTaddleTat · 03/06/2020 20:32

@TheWooisStrong that is really great to hear! When did you first develop symptoms? Glad that you have managed to recover and feel closer to normal again.

Tangledyarn · 03/06/2020 20:36

Have had a very annoying resurrection of chest pain and breathlessness the last few days, had a couple of weeks where things had felt a lot better on that front at least at rest and general pottering, havent done anything to make it worse so no idea why but it's horrible.

Ernieshere · 03/06/2020 20:40

12 weeks this week, I have had chest pain today, that scared me, as I didn't know how bad it was going to get, like 12 weeks ago. Its as if someone is trying to wring my muscles out inside my chest, a crampy/sqeezing pain.

It is my period as well, so I feel so shit at the moment, I just had a good cry.

For everyone & myself Flowers

Fishflakes · 03/06/2020 20:40

Sorry to hear it Godhelpus. It’s really debilitating having foot and leg problems. Hope it passes soon. Flowers

Countingsheeps · 03/06/2020 20:45

Hi everyone,

I am into week 11 now, and after about a week of feeling really good (not 100%) but good, I had a bit of a relapse yesterday where I felt hugely fatigued and heavy limbed again. A bit fatigued today again, but not as bad so hoping it’s just a blip. I do feel ‘post viral’ now though, my head is clearer and I can stand up and walk around without thinking about it. The only things (other than fatigue) are the strange pepperminty feeling in my throat and mouth and the fast heartbeat which has been consistent for weeks.... BUT this afternoon for the first time in over a month I took my heart rate while I was stood up and it was u see 100bpm!! I can also get it under 80 while sat up, so I really do believe it is finally going. All the numbness and tingling etc seems to have completely stopped too. Smile

I really hope you guys get some relief soon from your symptoms- I really believe we will get better now whereas I wasn’t so sure not that long ago. Hold on in there, big hugs and best wishes for those feeling rubbish today xxxxx

Moodgie · 03/06/2020 20:45

@TheWooisStrong Great news! Please could you share what your last symptoms were and also what week you were when you felt fine again?

godhelpusall · 03/06/2020 20:49

@Countingsheeps I have the mint thing. What is that?

emoojoo · 03/06/2020 20:52

Hi @moodgie and everyone!
I'm still keeping an eye on the threads, and sending Thanks to everyone who is still not feeling better. I am feeling (almost) back to my old self, i was hanging on a bit before updating here to avoid a relapse as it is my period this week but so far that seems to be ok too (bit more tired during this week and slightly elevated hr but still ok more like usual peri period time.). I am sleeping well again now, I still find it comforting to sleep all propped up with pillows and I use the sleep bits on the headspace and calm apps each night, and have an electrolyte drink each night which all helped when ill. I am now managing about 10-15k steps each day, do light housework (and having enough energy to do so). I need to keep building very slowly as I used to do 23k steps each day so need to get fitness back very gradually. I take 4-5 Kalms tablets each day which I think helps with any leftover anxiety. I still rest when I can. I'm eating well again, lots of fluids, fruit and veg and have stoppped the omeprazole. Also trying to include foods to minimise acid, foods to reduce inflammation and eating foods rich in oestrogen. I'm having a golden milk turmeric hot drink each evening which is yummy and comforting. I'll check in here regularly to see how all are doing. Keep going everyone, rest lots and stay calm and positive - I did not think I'd feel better but it does come back xxx

emoojoo · 03/06/2020 20:56

Ps. (About day 77 here, 11 weeks)

IamEarthymama · 03/06/2020 20:56

Hi I am sorry I haven’t been in here regularly, I have not felt very well
And we have a new puppy so he is taking up our time
He’s a joy 😊

I have still had SON, chest pains, no sense of smell and exhaustion
Now my ankles and feet have started to swell up, I thought it was the hot weather but it’s not going down at all

So I have to go to a “clean”
Hospital locally for a chest X-ray and then surgery for ECG

Wish me luck, I hope people are improving
You all saved my sanity x

Moodgie · 03/06/2020 20:56

@emoojoo @Crayfishforyou Thank you so much for updating us! It’s so great to hear some good news!

Countingsheeps · 03/06/2020 20:57

@godhelpusall it’s so weird isn’t it?! I have no idea what it is, but it seems quite common. X

WotnoPasta · 03/06/2020 21:13

Has anyone had pains in their head. Not headaches, but like shooting pains. I’m getting these in the front of my head on and off, they’re quite painful.
I tried to go for a short walk today and now I am so tired I could cry.

Monty6 · 03/06/2020 21:17

Someone just linked to the following article in the slack forum: api.nationalgeographic.com/distribution/public/amp/science/2020/06/how-long-does-coronavirus-last-inside-the-body-cvd. I wasn’t sure about sharing this one, but i think it is probably better to be aware of the debate than not. It is encouraging that studies are underway.

Kitcat122 · 03/06/2020 21:30

@Tangleyarn I am the same. I felt better for 3 weeks but last night week chest pain and breathlessness back with avengance. Spoke to my GP today. She was slightly concerned so is booking me a chest xray and blood tests.

user34254356 · 03/06/2020 21:39

@whatnext2018 i have had one before and they normally give you headphones with your favourite radio station. So you can listen to that and just stay v still !! I found it stressful as i had to make sure I don't move at all and kept thinking maybe I had moved and would have to start all over again. All the best. Hope it goes ok.

@Moodgie that is v interesting about Covid clinic at Whittington. Sadly i have heard nothing like that happening at King's but I will find out from my GP as I am sure I will be on the phone with them again over yet another symptom in the next few days.
