What they are missing right now in the reporting is that government confirmed themselves he had CV symptoms a day before he travelled.
He didn't travel in case he caught it. He had it.

Travel with a sick 4 year old, infect people in a motorway service station, infect your elderly parents, infect the peasants who dropped off your supplies, infect the peopl ein the bluebell wood, infect some more people in a service staion on the way home

a loving and caring father, trying to do the best for his child. Claiming that anyone who loves their children would have done the same

Was it Downing St who claimed this or DC himself?

I am interested to see how they talk about the police statement. I bet they say they talked to his parents. And they aren't his family apparently

To be fair lemons. Based on yesterday's brief mingle with the media DC doesn't give a fuck and has no interest in portraying himself as anything. It's the weird insistence from DS and the minion ministers that he is some sort of saint for breaking lockdown.

doesn't this just show how they (politicians etc) all liev on a different planet to most the population.
A few years ago when my dc were younger we all went down with norovirus at the same time. Me, DH and 3 kids aged 5, 3 and 12 months. We spent 48 hours all in the lounge, sleeping on sofas and airbeds and in travel cots so we could look after the dc who were vomiting or having diarrhoea every hour or so as were myself and dh. At no point would we have considered driving to stay with family because a - we were too ill to drive and b - we would not have wanted to spread the virus. And this was without any lockdown or government rules.Because basiclly this is just what you do as a parent. You get on with it and you cope. Don't recall anyone calling safeguarding for my kids, who have all gone on to grow up into healthy well balanced teenagers.

If he doesn’t go soon and apologise for what he did I will have lost any respect at all for the government whatsoever. The hypocrisy and doublespeak are totally disgusting. The country can’t let him get away with this. I have emailed my MP about this.

Not surprising, expect the rest of the ERG gang to pile in, they're looking to settle old scores, Cummings pissed them off.

I'm absolutely cringing watching Grant Shapps on Sophy Ridge. Same old bullshit. Boris wont ever appear on anything if he thinks he will be questioned. So he sends the minions who take the same line every time "ooh that's not my area, sorry"
No. You're on TV representing your fucking Government. Answer the fucking question"

The party should crumble after all this. They cannot continue to bullshit and gaslight their way through everything.

Andrew Marr - Labour shadow secretary is demanding BJ do the daily briefing. He says the guidelines were very clear.
The SS says thousands of people were in the same situation as DC and did not travel to thier parents.
