Do we think Boris has been furloughed ???? 😂😂😂😂

OddBoots · 23/05/2020 20:13

Oh flipping heck, it now looks like he went back to London then went back up to to Durham again where he went for walks in the woods and visited Barnards Castle at Easter. The original trip couldn't be justified but this is just beyond even his gall.

CafetiereCoffee · 23/05/2020 20:28

For the first time ever, I have seen a news report where they door stepped a person and didn’t blank out the car number plate.

Mulhollandmagoo · 23/05/2020 20:33

@RubyViolet 😂😂 we could be forgiven for thinking he has yes....either that or he's camping out in the fridge again!!

Crunchymum · 23/05/2020 20:41

@The80sweregreat

Pray I ask when and why you were defending him? Grin

The fact that David Cameron, who I think is the one of the biggest cunts on Earth (and the ultimate cause of this utter mess, his decisions led to Boris being PM afterall) called Cummings a "career psychopath" says it all really.

Laaf80 · 23/05/2020 20:54

Ok, so DC’s wife’s column provides a better understanding of who was ill.

From what I can tell, she got ill and called him home that evening. 24 hours later he collapsed.

Maybe they left for Durham the next morning? Or maybe this is a crock of bullshit.

Never mind Grant Shapps, actually. Whoever is on the rota for tomorrow must be gibbering in a corner trying to figure out whether a case of rapid onset and isolation is remotely believable..

YogaLite · 23/05/2020 21:30

That article .... a bit of artistic licence perhaps?
I mean if someone is seriously ill the last thing they would be thinking about is work.
All for effect (and cash).

DanielleHirondelle · 23/05/2020 21:58

@AnyFucker So true.

The80sweregreat · 23/05/2020 22:17

There was a thread once about Matt Hancock and I just said that we should remember his only human it's tough times etc. Was ' being kind' ! ( this was early on back in March ?)
Then he let me down by tweeting support for Dc today.

Crunchymum · 23/05/2020 22:24

I thought you had defended Cummings Shock

As you were Grin

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2020 22:40

PotholeParadise really clear and helpful explanation thanks.
With that ability to explain the issues clearly and concisely, you'll never be asked to appear on the daily briefing.

The80sweregreat · 23/05/2020 22:48

No way would I defend DC at all.
A grown man should know better.
Especially one who can break his own rules.

PotholeParadise · 23/05/2020 23:08

If I did the daily briefing, it would not go well. Grin

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 07:18

DC is still being defended by Boris and some of the daily mail commentators!

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 08:15

Actually it does sound like downing Street and Durham police are in disagreement... Interesting.
New suggestions this morning that he made more trip back up north. Barnard castle and houghall are nowhere near one another, if the allegations are true I'm looking forward to hear his justification. I wonder who drew the short straw for today's briefing - I think it'll be George eustice or gavin Williamson.

Ultrasoft · 24/05/2020 08:25

Shapps is apparently doing the morning political programmes today too, poor thing!

Government is saying the stories of subsequent trips are untrue. It obviously wouldn't be the first time the papers printed nonsense but you'd think they'd have checked this one bearing in mind the power of the adversary.

Downing Street are saying police never spoke to DC. Police are saying they spoke to his father, so both could be correct there but if that's the case the Downing Street version is true but only just, if the police are telling the truth. Again, it wouldn't be the first time they've lied about a high profile political figure. So, will the next few days be interesting or will this all get manipulated away by the next story? I wonder if there's a victim lined up to take the heat?

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 08:27

Just seen on facebook
Asking Boris Johnson to sack Dominic Cummings is like asking Emu to sack Rod Hull

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 09:10

Today's briefing will be interesting. Surely Boris Johnson has to lead this one. Otherwise what's the point of him.

OP posts:
Ultrasoft · 24/05/2020 09:10

He can't, he's on holiday. Surely he hasn't gone away, or to a second home....

danceponydance · 24/05/2020 09:14

Shapps is dying on Sky news. He was given advance notice of very specific questions and won't answer them saying he doesn't know the answers. Still spinning yesterday's bullshit

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 09:24

Boris Johnson is on holiday?? Tell me thats a joke

OP posts:
SmileyFaceSadFace · 24/05/2020 09:30

Shapps is dying on Sky news

I cringed all the way through that.

Ultrasoft · 24/05/2020 09:31

There was something here yesterday saying he wasn't around because he's on a 10 day Whitsun break, sorry I don't know to source, or actually if it was just sarcasm. Parliament is in recess though.

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 09:51

They think we're all fools
