He clearly knows where all the bodies are buried.
As outrageous as it is, he'll be protected.
It's a disgrace.

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2020 17:25

Yep mrsw
Bets on resignation before morning?

campion · 23/05/2020 17:34

DH and I have just had that very discussion @StealthPolarBear.
He reckons tomorrow's papers will do for Cummings but I'm less optimistic.
I really hope I'm wrong.

Sparkesy · 23/05/2020 17:34

I hope there is a resignation, or that BoJo actually does the right thing here. However, it seems there is one rule some, and a different rule for everyone else.
The belief that they are not culpable will drive their response.

BilboBercow · 23/05/2020 17:37

How many briefings has Boris done since returning to work?

Redolent · 23/05/2020 17:38

1 briefing only.

Redolent · 23/05/2020 17:39

But that’s OK, don’t you know he’s busy doing night feeds and winding?

BilboBercow · 23/05/2020 17:40

Grin of course he is. He's well known for being a dedicated father.

Sparkesy · 23/05/2020 17:43

😆

Ultrasoft · 23/05/2020 17:44

It is rather concerning that the man effectively running the country couldn't work out how to get food for his family....in London. I'm not sure he has all the skills required for the job

strugglingwithdeciding · 23/05/2020 17:49

Yes we were saying at home must of drew straws for today

RubyViolet · 23/05/2020 17:51

Maybe Dominic wanted to avoid parenting whilst his wife was ill ....

Elieza · 23/05/2020 18:03

Fiver says he’s out in his before Tuesday.

What an embarrassment. Our Scottish health advisor woman, Calderwood, broke the rules and was booted out without a severance payout. I liked her too. I was gutted that she did a stupid thing. At first they tried to say it was a one off to check the house was ok but then it all came out. I thought she was great.

If you mess up you should leave. He made an unnecessary journey that apparently happened the same time as his mums birthday (what a coincidence) and tried to blame it on illness. Aye right mate. Same as Calderwood. Try and hide it at first until evidence appears to prove you’re not telling us the whole story.

He should make another journey - the hell out of dodge.

Crunchymum · 23/05/2020 18:03

The odious serpent won't resign.

Sadly.

TheDrsDocMartens · 23/05/2020 18:04

She wrote an article in a newspaper about them both being ill and D.C. borderline hospital case.
The son was feeding them Ribena.

WotsitWiggle · 23/05/2020 18:11

Someone is telling porkies. The wife's article in the spectator was that she fell ill with it, he rushed home, and fell ill himself a day later, then being so poorly he was in bed for 10 days.

So who drove to Durham and when? And if you've done it because you are both too ill to look after your young child, why then ssy you all self isolated and just needed a family member to drop off food?

Load of bull.

Deelish75 · 23/05/2020 18:15

Maybe Dominic wanted to avoid parenting whilst his wife was ill ....

It does look like that.

Why has this story only come out now? It happened almost two months ago.

Rosehip10 · 23/05/2020 18:21

Harries comes across as a bit of a government bot.

OddBoots · 23/05/2020 18:21

If they seriously thought what he did was acceptable they wouldn't have covered it up since March.

GoFiguire · 23/05/2020 18:23

Apparently all our data is being sold off today which is why this story has come out to deflect away from further erosion of our privacy. I’ll see if I can find the tweets from the Guardian journalists

Laaf80 · 23/05/2020 18:23

I’ll be surprised if he resigns. These lot have no decency and I suspect BJ will struggle to do the ‘job’ Without him.

GoFiguire · 23/05/2020 18:27

It’s Carole Cadwalla and the thread is rather frightening.

NiceViper · 23/05/2020 18:30

I noted that only one expert was there today. Usually two.

And in the first answers she was throwing him under the bus.

For there was, on facts released so far, no safeguarding issue and she was crupystalmclear that safeguarding was the only possible reason.

Tavannach · 23/05/2020 18:31

How many briefings has Boris done since returning to work?

Boris is on a ten day "Whitsun break". Presumably trying to learn how to handle Prime Minister's Questions when facing a more than competent opponent.

Larkspurandhollyhocks · 23/05/2020 18:33

Can't believe they're protecting him.he won't go, so angry here
